I just discovered a great way to get dye off your hands. Most sensible people wear gloves and I do too but I always end up spattering dye over myself anyway. Getting to the point... Nail polish remover ๐Ÿ˜€ it got the vast majority off my hands. I used Cutex extra cleansing nail polish remover and cotton wool and it got rid of the sfx deep purple. Yay.

Oh i will try that, thanks, ive just put Stargazer Violet mixed with a tiny bit of Magenta to the underneath of my daughters hair and have stained my fingers, and i wore gloves!.
Usually i use toothpaste, works great on my hairline after using Magenta but not so well on my hands.

Yup i put stargazer rouge on yesterday and i found that pure acetone (got some in my nail kit) took the staining straight off! x

rubbing alcohol works really well too! I'm guessing the alcohol is what makes both nail polish and rubbing alcohol work so well

For some reason, even when I wear gloves I seem to get a little dye right down between my fingers, right on the hardest bit of skin on my hands and it takes ages to get it off. Thanks, I'll try nail varnish remover next time.

I use isypropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) but nail varnish will do the same thing. My boyfriend's sick of me stealing his piercing supplies ๐Ÿ˜›

If you have an exfoliating face wash or soap (lush do a great one with apricot husks in) then use that! Has fixed my stained fingers/neck/ears many a time.

I rely on nail varnish removes with acetone in (the non acetone ones don't work as well). I always forget that I've used it though and then I eat a bag of crisps or something and it tastes vile ๐Ÿ™

acetone for the win... in that case, the ones without it usually cost more and do less ๐Ÿ˜

I use clothing stain remover (oxi i think its called) that you put in the washing machine. It's just a powder so i put a little in a cup with some water wait for it to de solve and then just wash my hands (or wherever the dye has gone with it, works a treat

I was dying my hair the other day and all I had around was some Cillit Bang - it cleaned up my *bright* purple hands pretty much straight away! Don't leave it on your hands too long though, and moisturise the afterwards!

Bwahaha! ~~resists the urge to correct chrono's obvious spelling mistake~~ I'm surprised the bleeper didn't put asterisks in lol!

I can only suggest maybe something oil based to clean your hands? It's so annoying when the gloves split, they usually do it without you noticing so you're covered in dye and you don't have a clue.

I love it when people make awesome typos XD  Seriously gave me a good giggle.

Apparently toothpaste will remove dye from sensitive skin?  Put a blob on a washcloth and rub over the affected area until it fades.  (I've not tried this, but it's worth a shot)  I know butter/margarine is supposed to work for paint, but I'm not too sure about dye due to the difference in consistency.  Dish soap is supposed to work, too, but I think it wouldn't be suitable for sensitive/eczema/psoriasis skin because it's very drying.
