makes this!
Its a very orange based and much brighter than I had expected (2 tubs vermillion 1 tub pillar box) has anyone got any suggestions of what I can mix to get it a bit darker and a true red?
I love that!
Vermillion is *very* orange, so I'd use a very pink red (like Tulip) to counteract the orange tones. Plus, Tulip is a deeper red so it should bring it down a shade.
thankyou
and thanks for the suggestion!
Lovely shade π
Wow thats bright π I love it π
For future reference 1:1 vermillion and pillarbox gives a lovely true red.
It's so bright, looks awesome

Cheers! Then add something else into the mix to make it darker (although possibly not tulip seeing as its all sold out!)
Thanks all!
I want it! Love it!
It's perfect!
after 2 washes it faded to this
So I mixed together my left overs from this, and the colour before which was a pink made by mixing vermillion red and poppy red I think. I diluted it a tadge and added some diluted plum and this is the result
that's an excellent orange! Pretty much exactly carrot orange!!!
I like both colours π
The new colour is pretty, that's how I imagine my own colour (red mixed with a hint of purple) would have looked if my hair had been bleached π
I hated the orange but quite liked the fact it appeared to have highlights haha π
thanks everyone π Inquisitress, my first red went over an almost banana yellow so yes I can imagine yours would have been similar!
