Ok it's been nearly 6 weeks now, and it's just started fading a bit orange.  Obviously I have quite a lot of root re-growth now anyway so I'm dying to colour it.  I'm trying Cherry Bomb this time, when the package comes, and also putting matching extensions in.  I'll let you know how I get on this week!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Hi Lousha, hows the Cherry Bomb? I've been reading your post with interest as I had a very similar experience abut 1 year ago (same base colour/bleach bath/super shiny nuclear red hair) and am about to go back to Nuclear Red (am Manic Panic Pillarbox at the mo) because I've found that nothing is quite like it for colour, shine or longevity... and of course the wow factor! Hope you're still enjoying the wonders of veggie dyes & the fab colours on offer.

Wowow. I love Nuclear Red. My sister has it, and I keep thinking that her hair is glowing... but then I realize that hair doesn't glow. She didn't do it over bleached hair, though, just faded ginger hair. And her hair is really long so she had to struggle to cover her head. But it's still amazing.

And the fact that it's still basically exactly the same after a month... wow. Cherry Bomb fades to a strange reddish pink, so I'm eager to see how this fades on my sister. But now I kind of have an idea!

lousha!!! Oh my goodness a month of fading and no orange color after a month? it looks amazing and exactly what I want. I think I will for sure buy this color and have my hairdresser put it in. I think I have found my color for sure. I want a bright red that wont fade to orange (i will dye it monthly no matter the color since my roots come in after only two weeks and I'll never go longer than a month), and this might be it... I want to give it a try once my hair fades lighter from the bad dye job I got yesterday when I told the hairdresser I want BRIGHT RED HAIR, ugh.

I love that haircut! I used to have hair cut the same way and I really liked it, but grew it out because my boyfriend at the time didn't like it. Grr. Every so often I get the creeping temptation to chop it all off again! The red looks awesome; it's wonderfully vivid.

Aww I'm dying to try this colour but I'm scared of the initial glow! Maybe if I don't let this Candy Apple fade too much and pop it on over it? Or if I let it fade and mix the last bit of the bottle of Candy Apple into the Nuclear... really want something more red/ orangey!
