This is mainly poppy red, with just a splash of rose red in the mix too. I'm enjoying it!

Thank you! I was black before this, so I am really happy that I was able to get it so red.

My hair was black, so it took a little while to get the black out of it. Here's how I did it:

* Firstly, I used ColourB4 which took a lot of the black out and left me at a darkish brown colour. I was amazed that the ColourB4 worked so well being as i had been dying it  black for so  long!

* Secondly, I left it a week and then did a full bleaching. My hair was quite resistant to the bleach and it didn't go very light.

* From there, I started bleach bathing every week with a 30 vol.

* Once my hair was a gingery-blonde, I put some Poppy Red on and voila! It worked!

To get red hair you don't need a very light base, orange/ginger hair takes red really well. I hope this helps!

Ahhh i absolutely love it

I went from a mousy brown colour to bright red in a salon about 2 years ago, dyed it from then on with XXL live. Eventually because i used to slap it on everytime ratehr than do roots longer than ends i screwed up the end of my hair it went dry. Went to a salon 6 weeks ago, they cut the ends to freshen it up and used a salon dye that was red but not particualrly bright. wthin 3 weeks it had washed to a manky brown colour. Because i had only had it dyed 3 weeks prior i chucked a red directions dye on it as its non peroxide but it washed out within a week sadly (altho looked fab when i first did it) :(. 2 weeks ago i used XXL live just to touch up my roots as i didnt want to bombared my hair with products so i now have red roots and gingery ends.

I'm dying my hair tomorow (which will be 6-7 weeks since the salon dye & 2 weeks since i XXL my roots) with majicontrast and 9% peroxide as a friend i know has just done hers and has a similar hair history to mine and its amazing.

I'm hoping to get something bright colour like yours lol im so fed up of mine x just love the red
