Hey guys,

First photo:

My hair the first time dying it red. Bleached my dark brown hair with 40vol then used Affinage Infiniti in Intense Red with 30vol... Came out pink! I should have used it on its own.. I was still a newbie then. Plus  I had ordered the Afiinage bRED in RED (highlighting cream) but they sent me this Infiniti instead claiming it did the same thing! Did a strip test, did not lift at all. So i had to prebleach because I didnt know if the product I was after still existed! So angry...I didn't want to have to prebleach.. but anyway those were the results.

Second photo:

Managed to find the product I was initially after! ASP bRED in RED (previous formula of Affinage bRED) highlighting cream (30vol for roots, 10vol for lengths) in conjunction with using De Lorenzo NovaFusion Colourstay Shampoo in Fire Red as my regular shampoo. Loving this colour!

It's a big lie about Infiniti Intense Red being the same as B Red.

I'm inside the industry and the truth is that the PREVIOUS Australian distributor for Affinage UK products had registered the trade mark Affinage Infiniti whilst he was only a distributor. Affinage UK flicked him as a distributor but he now has the right to use the Affinage name (but not their products) in Australia. He has had a colour of his own made, Infiniti DAT2 Formula, and put the Affinage name on it. BEWARE - this colour has nothing to do with Affinage UK and is not formulated or backed or supported by them. The Affinage UK products have the words DATEM Technology Formula on them somewhere.

I was told the other day by an Australian wholesaler that the reds in the DAT2 Infiniti (not Affinage UK) product have been on & off the market numerous times over the last 12 months as they have had to reformulate it because of constant problems.

Affinage UK now trades in Australia under the name ASP Hair and they supply, through wholesalers, all Affinage UK products in Australia.

I noticed you can also buy ASP b Red at Hair Stuff Direct shop on eBay Australia

I know! Ridiculous! Found a good ebay seller here in Australia now so I'm happy. He was saying that affinage Australia give him lots of trouble.

I love it! I would love to have that colour. I am currently a very bright red but it looks kinda pink lol. I don't think I can buy that product you used in the UK though

If yr in the UK you can buy the exact same product. Its only in Australia that the name Affinage has nothing at all to do with the company Affinage because of the bullshit from their previous distributor over here. All Affinage UK products are sold under the name ASP Hair here (Australia only) .

In UK it's all under the Affinage name so if you find the Affinage b Red product, that's exactly the same thing we're talking about here as ASP b Red.

Thank you for this info stemmy, much appreciated. I feel a bit silly now as I really should have read all the replies when I saw this thread earlier :-[

Lovely Red!

Good Research! as I was looking at the Affinage Infinity .6 Product used by Louna on YouTube wondering what the deal was with people using ASP bRED, Affinage bRed & then the infinity one...

and wondering the difference between those & Loreal Hicolor Hilights Red vs. Magenta... I am going crazy. *stars*
