well you get get the poppy and do a stand test. i think it'd make the pillar a bit darker though. or do another bleach bath and put the poppy on. looks really good though sweetie!

Dont think i wanna do another bleach bath for sake of saving what hair i have left lol
I need to treat it with love & affection now i finally have my long awaited for red.
I had to order more anyway for the bits that didnt get covered, defo 1 pot is not enough
for my big bramble bush! So ive ordered 2 poppy red, & see how it goes...hopefully it does
darken it down a wee bitty. Just wondered if anybody had to ever put 1 red over another, as long as it dont go brighter a dont mind! 😛

it won't go brighter =D i have no experience myself, but im sure others have done that (may vbporsha) loving it though =D get yourself some aussie and joico =D tis the cats pyjamas

Even though I've not used those particular reds, I've found putting one slightly darker red over a bright red tends to tone it down a little, so you should get the colour you are after.

Thank you Squishy, it just seemed common sense to me a darker red would tone it down, just the notch i'm looking for!
It was Rihannas red i'm after & i'm pretty sure her's is a wee shade or 2 darker...

Wooooohooo! Great! I'm curious if the poppy red will bring the desired result (as I thought about getting that one for myself ;)) - if it doesn't, try to tone it down with one of the more burgundy shades, like Rubine or Tulip. (Though I can defo tell you that Rubine is a very magenta shade - but a pretty one! :))

Gimme a few days & i will return with my progress.
I'm quielty confident it will darken & be exactly how i imagined it! 😀

It looks good! I used to fire different reds upon reds on my hair and it just darkened them to begin with. But as poppy and pillabox are both bright reds it shouldn't darker too much.

Looks gorgeous ,was defo worth the wait 😀 Isnt pillarbox red darker than poppy? Ive got both in bathroom and pillarbox defo looks darker.It looks darker in your avatar pic too,you really suit it.Takes a while to get used to,when i went bright red from "normal" colour I kept looking at it and thought it was really bright,after few days you get used to it.
It won`t go any brighter if you use poppy, It`ll just cover the missed bits and make it the rest a wee bit darker & richer if anything.
