I have black asian hair and I'd been growing out my natural color for some months so I was basically back to square one. I bleached my virgin black hair with Elgon Blueberry Anti-Yellow Bleach and this is what I got.
Left half: hair bleached once.
Right half: after applying Directions Fire full strength.
Very happy with how fast it lightened, about 7 levels in one bleaching.
I was too lazy to bleach more than once so I wanted a color that would work with the neon yellow-orange brassy base we Asian ladies inevitably get when we bleach for the first time. Directions Fire, an orange-based red (but looks true red in the tub) seemed like a great color to put on top of it. In fact, I think it got so bright because it had such a neon base, lol.
Looks like blood in the tub. After I finished covering my entire head of chest-length hair I used up about 3/4 of the whole tub.
A photo taken by my friend 1 day after dyeing.
On my ipad camera, it can take on a raspberry color:
or an orangey one, because of my base.
This dye has incredible coverage and is very forgiving. It's one of those colors that you can slap on after a haphazard bleach job and it comes out looking amazing. <3
I love this, you really suit red hair!
Yup yup, red hair looks great on you!
Lovely colour!
