I think you could get away with it.
I was so sure I was going to have purple in my hair, but the blue overpowered the pink like you wouldn't believe.

Could your hair handle a light bleachbath? I think that might help.
Otherwise i'd just go for it, i had some pink like that just before i went turquoise n it covered fine with no purple sheen.

my hair is still quite damaged at the back of my head, so i think im gonna just risk it.
