I've been rainbow for about a year now and can't honestly see me doing anything else as I just love it!  πŸ˜€

Thanks! My first rainbow was all SFX apart from the yellow which is always Manic Panic Electric banana. As the availability is so intermittent with SFX I've had to improvise. Currently on my hair is
Manic Panic Electric Banana
Stargazer Magenta
Adore Violet Gem
Manic Panic Cleo Rose
Manic Panic amplified bad boy blue
Manic panic amplified atomic turquoise
SFX napalm orange
SFX nuclear red or manic panic amplified pillar box red.

This photo was taken today after having it redone yesterday so it's at its most vibrant. I'll post a pic each week to show the fade until I have it redone if you like?

Even though I'm not an alternative colour, I really love this.

I'd love to see that!  I do wonder what it's like to maintain, if you have to bleach roots, then separate the hair into colour chunks to re-dye it, and how you get it so even and perfect again.  And if you ever feel like you want to switch colours around, lol.  It must take a lot of patience to keep up, but it's so cool!

Thanks all. It's not too bad to maintain. Thankfully I have a hairdresser friend that does it for me. I wouldn't even attempt it myself.
I probably have a re-colour every 4-5 weeks where we just put the colours on. Then 4-5 weeks later I have my roots done and then the colours put on after. We tend to put the same colours in the same places unless one has particularly faded then we might change it up.

SO pretty, wow. I wish I had someone to help me place colour, I wouldn't be able to do this on my own I think. It's gorgeous and I'm curious to how it fades!

πŸ™ i posted a 'Week 1' post last Saturday with a picture which has disappeared from this thread ... I'll do it again tomorrow and I'll also do a 'Week 2' post at the same with the fades.

@RainbowBrite, I saw your Week 1 photo, and it is indeed gone - I wonder what happened!

I look forward to your posting it again and to see this week's as well πŸ™‚

Morning all

Here's Week 1 again.

This is with 2 washes using L'oreal Everpure S&C. Dried on a medium heat with a hair dryer. I use Babyliss new big hair rotating brush instead of straighteners to style it.
In between washes I spritz unruly sections with water and use the rotating brush to style it.
