Lol that's ok I get it a lot on my photos. Of course I use more flattering photos, but I am blessed with not too many wrinkles and cleanish skin... And a childish need to dress and do my hair how I damn well want and not how I'm supposed to by societies standards! πŸ˜‰ it also helps that I've never had kids, I swear πŸ˜‰

Thanks guys. It took me 3 hours and used a environmentally guilt making amount of cling film... Though, it could have taken more if I'd done it how I originally planned, individually wrapping each dyed piece. Instead I sectioned off my hair, two fronts and the back. Started at the back and on the really short bits, did them all one colour at the bottom. Then laid a piece of cling film over than and took another roughly 1cm section and laid it over. Then I took pieces from that, slightly random widths so I didn't have clear sections of colours, and applied to each one a different colour. I'd mixed up 12 different colours diluted with conditioner. Then I just laid another piece of cling film over that.

I do think I took slightly too small sections on the left side in the photo. I think it's a little too random and could be a little more defined like the right side. It might just be because there's more hair on that side... It doesn't really bother me, just food for thought next time. If I can ever be bothered with 3 hours again...

I will hate myself come the fade though... I had freshly dyed roots, but still quite green/blue ends from a previous colour I didn't end up taking a photo of as it looked horrendous on my phone! So, fades of orange and purple parts will no doubt be ugly. Hopefully it won't show too much as I kept orange especially to a minimum, I just wanted a few flashes of it πŸ™‚

Looks amazing! Happy birthday you don't look anywhere near your age.
You probably don't need the cling film between, if you've diluted with conditioner it doesn't really transfer anyway. Saves time. It'll probably still take 2-3 hours though πŸ™‚

I still like to use the cling film, I reeeeeally hate it when the colours mix and don't do what I want lol makes it a but cleaner and easier to sleep in too πŸ™‚

Here's the fade

It ended up fading really quickly because I had to clarify wash it. In the original pic you can tell my curls are all loose. Turns out the cheap shampoo I used to mix the dyes did the impossible and over conditioned my hair!! I initially blamed it on the fact I'd bleached my roots, but it felt too soft for that. I worked it out the day after. Ah well! I like the fade quite a lot. Lee says it looks like mother of pearl πŸ™‚
