This is *sort of* an asymmetrical cruella, from the right side below my natural side part to the back under side being red-purple and the whole top and left side being a blue purple. I did the part that way so you wouldn't see the line of color change, a bit of blue-purple falls on top of the right side of red purple and it all blends together. (I think I would look weird in a true cruella, for my face. Just my opinion). The blue purple is way more blue than I actually planned, I planned a mid purple actually! But I find it is really pretty and not as bad on my tone and face as I thought cool colors would be. (And of course in real life it's less blue, they always photo even more blue. Some images capture completely blue which isn't true to life at all. But it is more blue leaning.)
It's also suppperr saturated since I just did it and haven't shampooed yet. I used Raw Color Deep Purple (diluted, it's super strong) and the bottom was Adore Purple Rage diluted but it didn't cover, so I went over it with a mix of the Raw purple, Pravana Red, and Adore Violet Gem, and some Adore Raging Red. I find the Adore doesn't cover well diluted when alone but does work better diluted when mixed with other brands.
Previously, I had a faded pink (Adore Pink Fire undiluted) with fuchsia ends. I bleached the new growth roots but not the length, I waited until it had a nice natural fade, pictured first. It worked that the bottom was more pink so the red-purple would go well over it.
PS: Does anyone have experience of what this blue purple kind of shade would fade to? I hear pink but I can't see it happening that way!
This looks really nice, it suits you π
Very pretty! Both the fade and the new purples!
Absolutely lovely!
It looks gorgeous!
Really pretty! I love what you did with your avatar too. π
i was just saying last week that i've been tempted to try a cruella.
so, i just saw this now. it looks awesome, but i was surprised by the coincidence. i start to tell my husband, and he's like, oh-- i saw it on her facebook. lol
Looks gorgeous, really suits you. I've heard few people say Adore doesn't stick to well when diluted, and other people have no probs guess everyones hairs different. π
Gorgeous!
Beautiful purple! π
Update! Faded to a little more of a mid-purple (plus redying spots that looked dull here and there) but biggest addition was Ion Aqua to some of the ends there, I hope you can see! I actually bleached my roots and redyed yesterday so I will update with a much fresher image too. (This image is pre-root bleaching).
It's funny, because it's less blue than when I first did it (thankfully!!) but then I added blue haha. It's all part of my master plan.
PS I bought a better bleach and all new growth is virgin so it's my chance for light colored hair! I used Ion lavender for the roots, to get a nice light color. But Ion Lavender STIINNKKS, man does it stink. It turned blueish grey in a few days, not even washing it. Yesterday it just looked too patchy and dull so I covered right over it. Just wanted to let you guys know.
Overall I use diluted Pravana Violet, sometimes with Pravana Wildflower added in.
