Pravana violet - edited to add photos!

Lovely! Especially the second pic is a stunning colour.

How does the dye hold? Pravana faded super fast on my hair unfortunately. So I haven't gone for the other colours. Curious to hear other people's experiences.

Pravana used neat or slightly diluted lasted about 3-4 months on my pale yellow hair. When I would use it as a pastel or as a toner it lasts about a month and a half to two months. I think it depends a lot on maybe how porous the hair is too/how many times it's been processed. People that have processed their hair more, even if it feels healthy, it seems to go patchy more when it fades, but for people that have bleached once or twice evenly allover it seems to fade very nice and even

Thank you 🙂 It holds pretty well, I've not needed to completely re dye it at all yet, but I do find it fades slightly grey and patchy on some strands in my hair within a few weeks - although I've been in a swimming pool a lot lately and although I try to keep my hair out of the chlorine it does sometimes still get wet so that may play a factor in the fade! But yeah, because there's so much left over in the tube I'm able to add dye to my conditioner every time I wash my hair so it's not so bad 🙂

And thank you about my clip! I made it myself, it's glittery & glows in the dark 😀

Not sure I entirely agree, almost everyone I've known that's used violet pravana has said the fade has been patchy and that diluted down to pastel most of the shades seem patchy. But yes, obviously if hair is only bleached once or has a perfect base, then the fade will be better. I do love this shade though, it's so vibrant!

This photo is the most accurate to what my colour looks like at the moment, a teeny bit paler now as it's starting to fade. It's such a hard colour to capture, my phone camera always makes it too pinky purple and my camera makes it too bluey! But this one is more how it is in real life

That colour is AMAZING! I really want to try pravana but I am afraid it will stain my hair 🙁 Does it give any rub off or bleed everywhere when wet?

I get a small amount of rub off on clothes when my hair is wet, but other than that I've had no issues with it really! I was impressed when I got caught in torrential rain a week after dying it and the dye didn't run down my face 🙂

No not using Violet at the moment, I'm pink now
