My journey to light purple :) With photos!

I've got a few new stages to add to my hair timeline, but I thought I would put it here as so many people seem to be after this colour lately. I've had lots of people asking me about it so I need to order some business cards for the forum!

Anyway, around Christmas time I was this colour. I can't remember the exact shade but some kind of permanent purpley box dye.

I got bored of that by february and wanted something new and pretty for my birthday, so I colourB4ed and bleached (L'Oreal belle blonde)

First I tried directions carnation pink... But was not very happy with the peachy outcome over my gingery base...

So I tried Rose Red instead, and absolutely loved it!  😀

It faded really nicely too, so I kept it for a few months, topping it up with Cerise which I had lying around. Perhaps that was a mistake though, because it ended up a bit too bright pink for my liking. Eventually I bleached and toned it away...

and tried a mix of 2 parts Lavendar to 1 part lilac. It looked lovely but still had some sludgy patches from where my base wasn't pale enough. So I put directions violet over those sludgier patches which seemed to do the job but made my hair pretty much violet all over!

After a couple of weeks using Joico violet shampoo my hair had fadely and toned nice and evenly, so I put the lavendar and lilac mix on again and this time it ended up beautifully 🙂
