So I was asking for help some days ago with my purple hair fading into green because of the new Directions Plum formula. Some lovely ladies on here suggested to use Cerise to counteract the green and even though I was a bit skeptical about it I gave it a try. I washed my hair the day before using only shampoo and some washing-up detergent, no conditioner at all, and then dyed. I am super super happy with the result I got so I thought I could share some pics. Before/After and a little close up π
(sorry about my "before" hair looking so bad, it was all soaked up in coconut oil)
I'm kind of looking forward to see what kind of fade I am going to get out of this!
Wow, gorgeous!
That looks amazing π I'm so glad it worked out for you.
Looks fantastic! When I put Cerise on top of a similar colour, it faded a pretty lilacy grey.
Yes! That's gorgeous. So glad it worked for you.
Looks fab!! π
A xXx
That result is so pretty! Please do keep us posted on the fade π
It turned out beautiful!
Lovely xx
Thank you all! sure I will update in a few washes' time π
I absolutely love your hair! looks fab!!!
Thank you Sia!
It's been almost three weeks now and the colour it's starting to fade. It's fading to a pretty pink on the blonder parts of my hair, it's getting blue on some others and the green is starting to show again... I wanted to upload some pictures but once I put them on my computer I realised you can't really see the fade, it just looks all purple even though it's not... I have to try and take them again with a different light.
I'm pretty satisfied with Cerise anyway, I don't know if it's fading away too fast or not but I was expecting the green to show up again at some point.
I'm not sure if I should add a tinytiny bit of Plum the next time I dye it or not. Any ideas?
I think the new plum is too blue and would add to
The underlying green. Best to stick with pink π
Alright, thanks π
Maybe try a different pink? Rose Red fades from a purply pink to pink and lasts aaaages!!
