Awww π that's a bit of a swizz.
Thats awful!
I will talk to Renbow about this and get back to you with an update as soon as I hear from them.
On the upside, it looks like a great toner!
Sorry it didn't work out (equally sorry for myself as I've got a bottle in my hair dye box D: )
Its a pity it didn't work out as well as you'd hoped.
But toner wise, wowza! I might consider some for toning instead π
I'm gonna try again, maybe it'd a colour you really need to later on. On the upside, i've never had my hair this white before! Haha. Thanks Nickki, I hope thier other new shades are working a lot better.
Just a thought ... given the name marshmallow, maybe it's supposed to tone to white?
(Although in that case I can't understand why the colour swatch is pinky lilac).
Good luck with the third try.
It's a shame it didn't go the colour you were expecting, but that is a phenomenal white!
intemp, that is a good point!
Marshmallows are usually actually white, and maybe they used the swatch as the actual colour of the dye instead of the result?? (which they prob shouldnt!)
its the exact colour and consistancy of touch of silver shampoo... xx
What a great white though, may get some as a toner myself π x
i cant find the update... O_O π so..its not pink OR purple??? hmm... still, i suppose its still useful as a toner... π
The update is the last picture on her first post, Cyber. I think.
Yeah, it looks like a real good toner. Maybe it WAS supposed to tone to white? >.<
It was definitely sold to us from Renbow as a pink dye according to their swatch and sample photo. On seeing the dye and double checking it appeared it should be a more lilac/pink colour so we adjusted the swatch accordingly. I have contacted Renbow for their feedback on why this is acting like a toner and have asked for confirmation that it definitely is or should be either a pink (as their swatch and photo) or a lilac/pink (as per the dye in the bottle). As soon as I hear back from them I will update this thread and the website.
In the meantime as said before if anyone has bought this dye and not used it and would prefer to exchange it for another colour just message me through Beeunique.
Kitty, I will contact you about a replacement but will wait until I hear back from Renbow in case this is a batch issue.
UPDATE - Have spoken to Renbow and am waiting on one of the chemists calling me back to clarify what colour this dye is and how it should work. I have removed this colour from the website just now until I hear back from Renbow.

Thank you π i wasnt sure, ill be using my marshmallow this week, my sister ordered it for me from elsewhere i think, so maybe if it is a bad batch i may have a different one? Soon see... oh well π
I'm intrigued to see how the other new ones are now! I wanted to try bubblegum blue but it sold out so fast, so hopefully people will post pics of that!xx
A new delivery of Crazy Color dyes is due into us today or tomorrow and so far of the original dyes we sold this is the only problem we've heard of so I doubt it is a bad batch but wanted to check with Renbow just in case they had other similar feedback.
They have now replied saying this is the first negative feedback on one of these new colours and that the dye result should be a pale pink/blue colour. They feel this white result may be down to the porosity of the hair and/or the initial colour so I have given them this thread address so they can check the photos and feedback themselves. Again I will update as soon as I know more.
After another failed attempt, i've given up lol its gone to the back of my dye cupboard to be tried again at a later date. I just diluted some CC Emerald Green down for a minty colour inspired by poh's picture she recently put up. I've also just used some adore light brown dye so i'll review that too π
Intemp your idea makes a lot of sense!
Nickki my marshmallow came from a friend as a gift so do not worry about replacing stock π i'm appreciating the renbow feedback a lot though thank you
