Virgin Rose

Used some Virgin Rose but it came out more pinky than my hair was in the first place, so I used my homemade purple conditioner toner (Pravana Violet, Directions Rose Red, Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink) after to make it more purple-y.

Oh and please excuse my hair, I overdid the coconut oil a bit then it hardened when I was outside lol

Love it.  That's basically the colour I think I want to aim for next.

Thanks ladies πŸ™‚

@SoniaJM I think it would look lovely on you! It took a lot of tinkering to get is this shade that I'm very happy with, and I had to cut off my stained ginger bits because they always just looked red no matter what I did, and if I tried to cool them off to make them more purple they would just look dull or a burgundy kinda pink. All my hair that was past the ginger stage though and at least a gold has remained a nice bright purple-y pink

Yay!  I'm gonna give it a go, anyway.  I'm hoping the worst of my ginger was cut out at the last cut - but I'll take the pain if it wasn't.

I'm gonna give this colour another 2 weeks to fade a bit more, then do some intensive fading, then bleach, then add virgin rose and see what happens.  I'm not expecting to achieve perfection first time, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

That sounds like a perfect plan πŸ™‚ Can't wait to see how it goes!

And thank you @Inquisitress

This looks so nice! What's the staying power/transference like?

Thanks!

The staying power is unbelievable, it really lasts a long, long time. My Pravana Violet will fade out faster (which is also long lasting!) than the VR leaving my hair with mostly just the color of VR. It is a very strong color, it can take a lot of diluting and still come out the same shade and still last a long time. I really don't get any transfer at all with it. The only time I have bleeding is if I do an overnight oil treatment, some will come off on my pillowcase but nothing crazy. Since I stopped using Atomic Pink altogether I don't get any dry transfer at all, like I can wear white a couple days after dying (after I've gotten the dye off my scalp) and be perfectly fine πŸ™‚ Everyone's hair is different though, so it may act differently on someone else, but on me, I couldn't be happier with it!

Sorry for the late reply; I'm not on here much but thank you for the info! πŸ™‚ I may have to try and develop a similar concoction if I have issues with Atomic Pink again (though I am so loathed to because when it's good I love it and fear I wouldn't get anything remotely similar *sigh*). I used VR once many years ago though and did like it so could always revert to that if all else fails!
