Hahah that's amazing! Pretty awesome looking cat without the pink but with it super awesome!

I read somewhere that manic panic was alright on pets, think I saw it on their website somewhere a long long time ago. Still probably wouldn't do it.

They used to have a page about it (we linked to it from Beeunique) but it's gone now.  We have a few photos sent to us showing pets dyed using these semi-perm brands and although the dyes 'seem' to be ok I too would not recommend it due to dogs (and other pets) ability to lick/clean their own fur.  Best to stick to food colouring etc I think πŸ™‚

LMAO - thank you for clearing up that it was the dog and not Ryan who was licking his chest - gave me a few funny images of a Jack Sparrow look-alike trying to lick his own chest!

your cat is absolutely gorgeous >.> i'd try it myself but it's a pain in the rear just getting the frontline combo on cat properly, there's no way she'd stick around long enough to apply enough food dye! my arms would be in ribbons T^T

she's also very lucky that she's dark grey in colour Β¬.Β¬

Blaha! Omg, pippa. XD

Yeah. I'd hate for my kitty to get sicky. I think those pictures are from the professional places, and they get the animal to hold still the whole time. I don't have the patience to hold my cat for that long, and I'd be terrified of not washing him properly after. πŸ™

I just redid it, but on my own this time. Using a fruit shoot bottle to squirt it on is way more effective, and Im certain Mom doesn't handle him right, because he sat in the sink and behaved the whole time, no issues!

Though I did follow him about with a towel and some tissue for the paw marks for quite a while. I've had to stay with him unti he dried, incase he ruined on of moms pillows. xD

He's a lot brighter this time, and I got him all over, not just the front half. Moms rubbish at this, I swear! So glad she couldn't stick her ore in this time round! xD

I'm jst glad nobody's presumed I was stupid with this and started to rant about animal abuse. :< I was so worried someone wouldn't pay attention and would go crazy at me!

It does look cute, but i cant say i agree with colouring animals, dno why but i just feel weird about it -.- i guess i think its unnatural and that animals (especially cats) are beautiful enough already xP
Im really glad you were sensable and used food colouring too =)

The thing is though anyone could say the same thing about people dying their hair. We're all very beautiful without bright purple locks, so why change that georgious, natural chocolate brown for it?

It's not damaging to the cat in any way, so really it's fine. Other than that it's just a matter of opinion. Lots of people don't approve of bright hair and whatnot, and you don't approve of bright animals. I'm not upset or offended or anything. :> It's not like you're all yelling about animal abuse and lecturing me about it.

Aaw, Your cat is adorable! She'd probably be easier to do it to, too, because her fur isn't as long as my cat's.

The dyes on beeunique are safe for animals if you wanted it for longer term πŸ™‚ I've successfully used CC Sky Blue and CC Capri Blue on my old horse and one of my rabbits πŸ™‚ I did do a strand test first and horse hair doesn't take to it as well as rabbit/cat hair as it's so course and hard. Certain types of dog hair are a little harder to penetrate too but easily do-able.
It's actually one of my dreams to become someone who dyes animals haha xD

Your kitty looks so cute though!
