Bleach London Rose with violet traces...

Hello hello hello, long time no post from me after an insanely stupid cock up with over processing last November (totes forgot that having highlights for 6 months constituted bleaching my hair because I hadn't done it....dyed it black, stripped then thought I could bleach....d'oh...luckily wanted a pixie anyways  *boo*) I stayed quite mainstream with a semi perm dark brown crop.

Fast forward to April and I get a free sample of a pre-lightener product so checked at my hairdresser appt that all the damage was gone now and gave it a whirl then ash toned and washed with violet shampoo - it was an okay blonde but on me I just saw it as a base to get colourful again.

I used a powder bleach and 30 vol peroxide on roots and just got scared to leave it too long, washed out after 30 mins and had neon banana locks so I thought a few drops of directions violet in a coconut conditioner would be a nice even out.  Mostly it did but kinda looked grey and patchy so I tried the bleach london...I am fairly happy with the results.  A couple of stubborn golden back bits are peachy but generally I have a pale pink do with a kinda violety root tint.

It is a wee bit pale so may consider using the rose again with a touch of stargazer shocking pink in for depth and maybe violet too as I like the combo.  Thoughts on this mixture working would be sweet if anyone has any  *thx*

If you add some violet to your regular conditioner it will help to tone out the yellow and keep it pink rather than fading to peach.

So pretty! You could add some streaks of the Bleach London, the Shocking Pink and Violet too!

Thanks y'all 🙂 I was worried about the quick fade risks so I have washed my locks with violet shampoo, towel dried and I currently have a mix of Bleach London Rose and Stargazer Shocking Pink with a dot of Directions Violet.  I may well add darker streaks, that sounds quite lush 🙂

I remember someone on here suggesting a non sulfate violet shampoo that was good, that might be a go-er? When I used A Touch Of Silver (sulfates) it stripped the hell out of my pink.

Welcome back sugar cheeks  *cheers* *yay*

Joico's colour endure is a sulfate-free violet shampoo--I used to use it for toning down my pink and it was fabulous.

If you're in the UK and there's a TK Maxx near you, you can pick up a huge bottle of that for about £13.
