Hi wonderful people! I wrote in my thread about my hair needing to get "normal" for work. So this is the result. It used to be black with blurple underlayers of the hair.
I had to resize and change the quality of the picture so I'm not sure you can see the colours clearly.
The three left pictures are after one Colour B4, and the three pictures on the right is after a semipermanent hair dye: Schwarzkopf Country colours - light brown. (Sorry for not wearing any make up or doing my hair hehe)
I can't say I'm super happy with the results because it didn't cover much of the blurple/pink parts of my hair :/ I don't know what to do now, I just wanted an even colour all over and now I don't have any money left to by some Adore or something π Sorry for the rant!
Well, it looks lovely π There's not a lot you can do at the moment if you don't have the money for dye, but you can get away with it as it is π I like the slightly pinky brown at the front. I've been seeing a lot of pics from Japan of pinky browns π
Haha wow thank you. Maybe I'm too hard on myself then π Really? I have to check it out π
You look lovely as always. Even though you're not totally happy it's still very pretty. Hope you get the colour you want soon.
Thank you so much π I've been thinking but can't really figure this out. What colour should counteract with the purple? Considering the colour wheel, it should be yellow/orange, but I'm thinking maybe an ashy brown? Or am I totally lost? π
Ehm... not quite sure tbh. What about adore spiced amber? There is a pic in the adore thread.
I'm not sure, it seems a bit too.. Yellowy! Sorry, I'm no help haha ^^
No, you need something on the yellow side. Ashy is on the purple side so you'll be taking it further that way.
Oh thanks! I thought ashy was more green like. π
Now you're saying that... you might be right. Someone else needs to chip in, I should have got involved as I'm rubbish with browns!
Nice π
I think it looks nice π
If you want counteract pinky purple, you'll need a greeny yellow dye ... I think Adore Mocha has a green base, maybe that mixed with Honey Brown?
That might actually work! π and thanks π

Edit: Hey I have an idea, I'm not sure if it will work but, if I made a homemade toner with my directions green (lizard) and/or yellow? I have a pot of each.
I think that's a really lovely shade on you, tbh. π We often are our own worst critic... and I do understand what it feels like to not love your colour. It may grow on you with a little time.
If you make your own homemade toner, I'd start out very weak and gradually build up the concentration of tine a tiny bit at time so you don't end up accidentally green where your hair is very light. I do think Adore Mocha would probably cover what you have nicely when you have the funds for more dye.
Ah yes thank you π I will look into the Mocha, from the looks of it, it would suit me very well π

Edit! I took the leap. My mum was kind enough to lend me some money so I could fix my hair haha. I ordered one pot of Adore Mocha and I hope it will come soon, but since it's airmail it will probably take a week or so π
