That's gorgeous!
I'm sitting here with a Cajun spice and paprika mix on my head now.
I thought I'd show you guys some swatches for the colours over white paper. Cajun spice is a lovely orangey ginger and paprika is extremely red! It looks like quite a 'natural' dark red though so should be good for you girls who need more subtle colours for work.
This was taken under my kitchen lights.
ETA : Well I've washed the colour out and I hate it. It's gone bright reddy-orange over a blonde and ginger base. I really wanted a natural red head shade. My hair really doesn't like cooperating with me. -r-
I guess I'll see how it looks in the morning.
Bitzy, I think you would still need to add a bit of brown in that mix. Did you opt to leave the Honey Brown out for a reason?
I didn't at first however I have since and it's a much lighter ginger colour. I still look a bit like Pebbles Flinstone but it looks quite nice. I'm not sure if red hair is for me though, so before I buy any more dyes to change it I am going to think long and hard. I really miss my black hair most of the time and now I've experimented I'm considering it as an option. I just think that black is 'my colour' if that makes sense.
Either way I'll post results of the semi here. I'm just on the search for one that doesn't fade to a strange colour too quickly!
Ah well, I hope you find what makes you happy! π
I'm not sure if I should start a new thread with this, or just keep posting Adore results in this one?
At any rate. My colour had faded down to a spiced pumpkin orange shade. It wasn't horrible... I have actually had a few compliments on it! However, my roots are starting to come in quite strong and I don't want to bleach yet, so I thought I'd top up my colour.
I used Adore Cajun Spice with a bit of Adore Sienna Brown. I didn't measure, I just mixed until it was the shade I was after. If I had to guess, I'd say likely about 80/20. I applied the dye neat this time (no conditioner to thicken). I didn't have it all on for 15 minutes and decided it was going to be much darker than I wanted... so I hopped in the shower, rinsed and did a co wash to remove the excess dye. This was the result! It's honestly lovely... and I know it will fade down to the colour I had initially within a week or two. It's a pretty coppery shade. π I am really loving the Adore natural shades!
Gorgeous shade, that#s only a bit lighter than my natural colour π

Thank you! I'm so jealous... I'm loving this colour. π
Just a little word to say that Adore AQUAMARINE is a very sticky dye !!
It last like forever and don't care about fade method, warm water, everything I try (Fairy Liquid, Argeal, Salt, and Head'n'shoulder leave on 15minutes; Coconut oil all night; super hot water rince,...). It's just brighter but didn't fade, didn't became green at all (it's a really true turquoise blue).
I have it for 2 weeks now and even a regular shampoo don't do anything.
Instead of this, Adore Medium Brown does fade quite quickly, but it was over virgin hair compared to Aquamarine one, so I think it's because of this.
I'm planning on doing my hair all Aquamarine, result soon π
Has anyone here tried Ginger?

How long does this shade roughly last wash wise?
How long does this shade roughly last wash wise?
I co wash (conditioner only wash; links to info here) and use cool water. I co wash roughly every 3 days. I've not allowed this colour to fade down too much because it's quite light/bright over my bleached base, and I prefer deeper jewel tones. I have added dye to my conditioner once per week to keep the colour deep and fresh. All that being said, I really don't know how long it would last without doing all of that.
If you're using a sulphate-free shampoo and washing every day, I'd give it 8 washes before it is quite pale/faded, even fewer than 8 if you're washing in warm or hot water OR using a shampoo that contains SLS. When I had my hair trimmed recently, my hairdresser used shampoo with SLS and warm water to wash my hair; it faded quite a lot in one go! Even she commented on how much it faded. If you're co washing in cool water as I am, I'd say you might safely get double that (with topping up the colour by putting dye in your conditioner) before it's quite pale.
Hope this is helpful! π
I'm dyeing my hair with French Cognac tomorrow! π So excite!
ooo would you be able to put a pic up please? I'm trying to decide between mixig or just trying this colour...
I dyed it on natural blonde hair, will post daylight pics tomorrow! One bottle wasn't enough for my long hair and not everything took that well, so I might mix Cajun Spice with some conditioner tomorrow and slap that on to make it more red. π
Don't mind the no make-up, just woke up! I'm leaving the colour alone, but I'm hoping it will fade to a bit more of a ginger colour. My friend put French Cognac all over and Cajun Spice at the bottom, but I think it mixed with the rest of my hair as well to be honest!
