Not-realy-hidden galaxy under blonde

Been messing around with my colour for a while, and settled on a galaxy kinda theme underneath with blonde on top. I lovelovelove galaxy hair, but I'm not quite brave enough to have galaxy everywhere for work. Back in 2014 I had hair the colour of my icon and I loved it, but I got really nervous about what senior management might think at work, so I cycled through the colour wheel, had a fire ombre for a while, and ended up bleaching everything out.

I use Live XXX 00A or B (whichever one happens to be in Savers when I'm shopping!) on the top - roots only each time - and Live Pure Purple on the roots underneath to make a base that doesn't fade too fast. On top of that I used Directions Plum underneath, which had faded considerably by the first photo, which was taken a few weeks back. I love the colour it faded to, but did kick myself a little that I let it stain the ends of the blonde in a few places. This has since faded though, and I had a trim which got rid of the rest.

Before my last visit to the hairdresser (last Saturday, pic 2), I refreshed the purple with some diluted Directions Cerise. Over the top I've been doing a rose gold thing with heavily diluted Directions Apricot mixed with Flamingo Pink on the roots, and diluted Flamingo Pink on the ends. That had washed out by this point though. And seeing as only my hairdresser can get my hair to behave for photos, I don't have a pic of that.

I'm growing out my hair, but I'm going to try to keep up the colour - permanent dye on the regrowth only though, with Directions and Adore to really play with the colour.

Anyway, this is the first time I've picked up enough courage to post a hair colour pic, so um, yeah 🙂
