Sooo I went from Pravana Violet with pops of Manic Panic Enchated Forest with really long dark roots to letting that fade a lot on it's own. Then I finally bleached the roots and some chunks to change the color up a bit.
The idea was to add in warmer purples to already existing violet with chunks/streaks of a light but orange-coral and then a tiny bit of Neon Blue just to really jazz it up. Something totally different for me.
I used Pravana Violet, Pravana Orange, Pravana Neon Blue and Punky Color Purple (because I was unhappy with it as a purple, so I used it to warm up the Violet) I also used Pravana Wild Orchid to mix with the Orange in an attmept to make a coral. I was SUPER unhappy with the orange when I first poured it, it looked so burnt and dark and every time I added pink it just became like a fuchsia, so I dumped it and tried to do it again but with more orange (I wanted orange and purple over pink and purple. I felt that was more interesting.)
The orange did end up darker than planned but I really like it. Plus the dark orange and neon blue reminded me of spooki's orange with neon hair π The ends of some of the orange chunks already faded a little corally pink so after a few washes it might look like what I was planning originally anyway. Then on the purple ends, I added some of the orange mix as well which became a reddish orange. My ends always fade quicker so I tend to put a different color on them to make it interesting.
I also found that doing streaks is almost pointless inside the main part of my hair. They are the most noticable around the outside, even though it makes it look stripey when it's in an updo. I have two neon blue streaks near the top center but they got muddy when I couldn't keep them foiled and they touched purple and orange, but they are almost always hidden. The ones in the front and base of my hair and near the ears are the ones that really show and it's just enough neon blue to change up the whole 'warm toned party' game. Plus they came out the brightest since I was able to quarantine them lol.
I just realized this light doesn't show the pinky purple well, I'll try to add more pics from sunlight which show the warmth a lot more!
I really love this combination of colors. And the headband-- love the headband!
Oh, what a gorgeous mix of colors! *loveeyes*
Looks awesome!
I love this, definitely your best dye job so far
The fade on this is really rad. The "red" (which was meant to be orange and was dyed with orange :P) became orange, and the ends lost their redness to an orangey pink which is what I kinda wanted there. They actually hold dye horribly so need a bit more color already. I did redo the neon blue once but even with a slight fade it's pretty. I just feel this lighting is more representational.
Wow, so pretty! I wish my fades were that nice! π
