Amazing! I wouldn't have the patience/skill to do this but I always thought peacock hair would be amazing - and it is!

Aww you're all such babes. To think a few months ago I was like 'right, had enough, it's going black' HA! Yeah right.

I daren't wash it yet, need to buy an sls free shampoo first - all I have in is Head n Shoulders from when I was stripping, argh! but when it's been through the shower a few times I'll keep you updated on the fading!

This is so pretty, I am in awe like everyone! If you want to limit fading, you might consider conditioner-washing if you have any silicone-free conditioner lying around. I find it is even better than sls-free shampoo for keeping in the colour. (google conditioner-washing or check out my hair blog if you want to know more)

Ah thankyou! I am very interesting this subject after trying to find an SLS free shampoo today in boots and being totally boggled by all the ingredients. I found ONE for sensitive skin, a boots own make with no SLS...but yes, my hair is so dry anyway that I think I will definitely check that out. I think I would have to resort to a good bubble scrub once in a while but for regular once a week washes I'm deffo up for trying conditioner only. Shall go investigate now! Thanks 🙂

You would be best going totally sulphate-free not just SLS free, the whole family have basically the same negative effects on skin and hair. List of sulphate free shampoos and silicone free conditioners here http://www.britishcurlies.co.uk/curl_forum/viewthread/215/
