My latest pot of MP Wildfire was a lot more pink toned than previously. I kind of liked the result and when I did my roots last I decided to pink it up a bit more.

The top section is a mix of Nrage Bubble Gum Pink (love the color but this dye is terrible) and MP Wildfire. Normally I just use the Bubble Gum Pink to mix with yellow to make the orange that transitions from the red to the orange and it works well for that. Using it as the bulk of the mix did not turn out so well. It would not stick to the first few millimeters of my roots so I had to go back over it with straight up Wildfire.

Had trouble capturing the color on camera, the first pic is a bit over saturated and the second is a bit under saturated. I need to get a better image editing program, but I am crazy broke due to unexpected medical expenses.

btw... n'rage has peroxide *in it*, beware!

The yellow is Sparks brand, it's pretty much the same as Pravana. I don't like it much because it washes out very quickly. It mixes well to make nice shades of orange at least!

thanks!  it's a pretty color-- shame it doesn't last.  though, i'm wondering if *any* yellow would be long-lasting.  i've been eyeing mp sunshine, but i usually don't do well with that brand.  sigh!

I'm thinking of trying MP Electric Banana next. The Sparks yellow is completely gone after I wash my hair, and I CO wash! I actually apply it as a leave in to get it to be bright like that.

wow!  well, if/when you make the switch, i totally want to see pictures to compare.  i'm also curious how the mp yellows cover-- like, would they turn my current pink to orange, or just get swallowed up?  i might order some just to experiment, lol

Love that!

I was given some of the pravana yellow and hated how it came out, it looked so muddy for some reason. Looks a lot nicer here, I might try it to cover the last bit of staining I have from orange.

It's much more of a golden yellow than a primary yellow. Hopefully Ricky's will have Electric Banana in stock when I go to NYC next week so I can save a little money by not having to pay shipping. Nobody stocks yellow and orange dyes in store around here, except for the Sparks brand.

Still in love with your hair. May have to hop across the pond and steal it.

It looks great with your skin, nice work on the gradient. Electric Banana and Bright Daffodil mixed make a pretty long lasting yellow on Pippa, you might want to give that mix a go.
