my first shot at using several colors at once. base is old, grown out virgin rose and atomic pink, and i added sections of rockabilly blue and new pimpin purple. you can see some of my natural base showing through in places, but i did that intentionally-- i want this to grow out well without much root maintenance. anyway, it took ages to section out, and im not sure i did a great job because the colors fall in an odd way at the back... my layers seem really blunt!
what do you think? ...mind the robe! its late! lol

OMG that is amazing! I think you did a brilliant job. I love it and I'd wear it myself (in fact, I'd love something similar with variations in more neutral shades and you give me some ideas... :D). I especially love the plait.

thanks guys. there's sunlight now, sorta, so here are two better pictures. these seem truer to life.
edit- ummm.... i must be doing something wrong at upload-- i have the file open on screen right now, and my colors are vibrant, but the pictures i just posted look washed out, and pretty similar to the ones i posted last night! 🙁
