Hmm I don't think I wanna have to dye my hair with a permenent XXL dye first..
Does anyone have any ideas of what colours I could use over a light ash blonde colour?
SFX Hot Lava mixed with a bit of Candy Apple starts out a dark red like the top pic over a dark ginger base, and fades like the second pic. I did 75% Hot Lava and 25% Candy Apple. It was a really pretty colour, but it was not as bright as I wanted. I would think it would take just fine over an ash blonde base.
ETA: The fade from red to a more orange-red happened pretty quickly, too. Within the first week. I was able to keep the colour topped up by adding some of the dye mix to my conditioner.
Hot Lava does seem like a very nice colour! I could always mix it with a cheaper Directions pinky red (I definitely can't afford 2 bottles of SFX!)
Or perhaps I could mix Directions Fire with a bit of Directions flame/mandarin?
Or would that be too orange?
I've only ever mixed the SFX, Martha... hopefully someone with Directions experience will chime in!
I really want one of the dark yet vibrant reds like in no.5 or no.13. I'd also be happy with a colour like no.3
As my hair has quite a light base colour atm would it be wise to box dye it with a dark red and up keep with veggies? OR as a less permanent alternative dying it all over with one of the more natural shade in the adore range. (my thinking is my current red will shine through) Then putting a red over that later on to top it up??? My ends are also a bit darker that my roots so I was hoping to mask that a bit too. OR is there a dark red dye on beeunique that could achieve it one go? If so what shade & brand? π Thanks in advance!!
where is my picture here as i am a radiant redhead, i don't see it π LOL joking xD
I am loving the dark ginger tones here - I just whizzed back to a bit of pink for last week's charity shenanigans but I am seeing it as a base for ginger good times π Good to know I can get all semi dye experimental and preserve the locks!
That is absolutely beautiful π
Amazing!
It actually makes me really tempted to put black in my hair again ... but I always regret black once I do it!
You could do an extremely dark brown instead?
I just don't think it'd have the same impact π I might do it someday, though, when I get bored of playing with different mixes and need something a bit more but will still make work happy.
I wanted to try that as well (i had made a thread about it) but black is just so.... permanent!!!!
Any ideas how to get #9 colors? Thank You. π not sure if Rose Red Punky will do it.
