because red seems more ' normal ' these days you almost forget how beautiful it is.. some of these shades are pretty epic.

Agreed.

Ermmm rose red with maybe fire or poppy? Or a lil flame?

What red would people say 7th one (nerd glasses) down would be? Really thinking about red next and this is exactly the colour I want, deep yet bright at the same time.

From looking through gallery I think either CC fire or SE devilish mixed with nuke red? ehhhh I dunno!

I reckon nuclear red?

Someone on here got a very similar colour a while back mixing Rose Red with Cerise (2/3 RR, 1/3 Cerise)

I'm about to make some sort of leftover dye concoction consisting of around half a bottle of devilish, about 1/8th a tub of fuschia shock and about 1/5th a tub of hot hot pink, and a bit of conditioner to make it cover my whole head (probs not needed but hey). God knows what on earth I'll end up with but I'm hoping something vaugely like no 1 πŸ˜› just using everything up really before I move out, ha!

well the dye is sitting on my head now- I found a tiny bit of atomic pink and threw that in too, which might have been a mistake- it looks very pink on the gloves πŸ˜›

Waiting for it to finish cooking is annoying, I just wanna wash it off and see it already!!!!

Ooh Piestar, I love experiments!  Can't wait to see how it turns out--sometimes, random mixtures end up the best colours!

What dyes could I use to get a similar colour?!

lame, looks exactly the same as if I had done 100% devilish πŸ˜› oh well. Maybe it will fade different, the stain on the gloves was very pink 😐

Those colours don't look too far off the colour in my display pic. That was faded Directions Coral Red + Fire (roughly 2:1 ratio) over a faded reddy-brown Schwarzkopf box dye. It came out very "red" red to begin with, but faded to the fiery ginger quite quickly and stayed like that for a good while.

In fact, I'll hopefully be returning to that colour this weekend - toned it down for my new job but they seem pretty relaxed so I think I can get away with it!

Hmm I don't think I wanna have to dye my hair with a permenent XXL dye first..
Does anyone have any ideas of what colours I could use over a light ash blonde colour?

I'd say an orange based red, faded down a lil or diluted for more orange. Like coral red or fire?
