I can never win. When I get my hair cut, which is hardly ever just when I feel like it, I end up going with long hair and just wanting and getting it all cut off to just above my shoulders. Afterwards I instantly miss my long hair so I then grow it for about 2 years and then I get fed up with looking after it and go and get it all cut off and start again wanting long hair ::).

Right now my hair is about 2 inches from my bum, I really love it (and it seems to be in pretty good condition it could probably do with a trim though) but at the same time I want the easier maintenance of short hair... must... resist.

Love the colours of these *loveeyes*

I love this thread!  I'm also growing out my hair, and every couple of months, it is such a pleasure to realise it's grown a bit further down my back.  I had a friend see me recently and asked if I had extensions because it's longer than it's ever been.

So I've already decided, I'm not touching the length, and I'm sorry, when my friends say I'd look good with a bob, I don't think I'll ever experience that in my life, won't even consider it!

Although some people look really cute with the right short cut... I do admit. πŸ™‚

Im trying to grow mine out too. Its the longest its ever been in my life right now, down to my bra strap in the back. The front lengths were the same length + my layers were so long i just looked drab. So i did a longer face frame + cut some layers into it. Length is still the same though. Thats why im taking my time going from black ti ginger to magenta, because i dont want to fry my ends + have to hack a bunch off. Id rather have weird red/red violet/brown/orange/ginger + gold for a while than have to cut off a bunch.

Ah! I'm dying for hair like this! And I'm going to go get some of mine chopped tomorrow. I thought about losing a lot of it, but now I'm just going to ask for the bare minimum that can be done and still get rid of all damage!

Awesome! I just trimmed mine the tiniest bit and it looks soooo much healthier! Be careful with having a salon trim it, they usually are chop happy. Once my mom went in asking for a few inches off and they must have chopped 5-6..she was almost crying! If you are just trimming off damage you could probably do that yourself πŸ™‚

Yeah, they can be a bit choppy, but I bet they're a lot better than my attempts at cutting my own hair. I'm also thinking I want to go for some fringe, and whenever I do that it ends up too thick. D: Better for a pro to assess that situation.
