Ooh please do! I've got Alpine Green and Turquoise atm. I'm going to change colours in two weeks so let us know how yours goes!
I agree, Directions' turquoise sticks forever. I had the tips dip dyed on it and on a yellow base, so it looks greener than your general turquoise would. Anyway, after like 3 weeks it goes completely green, and keeps fading but to the point when you don't get the yellow back. You have hulk hair, it's amazing xD
Today I mixed a bit of atlantic with it and it gave this dark, turquoisy colour... I like it. But yeah, case in point, directions' turquoise will accompany you for a long while xD
I've been sitting on these for a while, I hope someone finds them helpful! I'm still waiting for my hair to be a bit longer.
I don't suit up-does at all unfortunately.

Ah that sucks. Guess I'll just use Atlantic Blue instead.
Back to dreads for a sec: I added extensions to mine a couple of years back, they were between 12" and 18" long and the extra weight killed my neck! I have a weak neck and it got really achey but I stuck it out and it worked out fine. My extensions have been cut out for a few months now and my dreads are now the length that they got extended to and they don't feel heavy at all! I think if they're growing the gradual extra weight is fine but when you add dreads all of a sudden it can be painful. My dreads when they're wet are horribly heavy and I can't get them dry very easily, takes most of the day even with frequent blasts from a hairdryer and they're at bra strap length. To "man with dreads to the knees" you must take aaaages to dry your hair!
Even when it rains I hide my dreads by tucking them into my coat and pulling my hood up, they don't see a speck of water until they have to!
This isn't for "inspiration" just to show you the length:
You can see the ends of the shorter ones here, the longer ones go down another 3 or 4 inches.
intemp that last one is just <3
I LOVE the last two, brilliant
How many pretty hairssssss *__* /ded *puzz*
I'm new here, and I thought I could contribute! Here are some pics from my personal collection (don't remember where I got most of them, but hair forums, google and friend's profile, mostly). I'm only allowed five, so here they are, I'll come back lather with more!
I love that turquoisey blue one Intemp!
Loving the rainbows!
*loveeyes* I hope my green envy will fade to that
Just lately I've seen several hair dye pictures of women with several inches of root showing and I like it, why? Shouldn't I be yelling that she's over due to bleach the regrowth? I'm sure you young 'uns are gonna tell me it's a new fashion with a fancy name that I don't know about. ;D
I don't know if it's a trend, but I guess if it doesn't look that bad, I would do the same to save my poor scalp from suffering too much. Maybe in contrast with black roots and pale colours I wouldn't, but if it doesn't clash, then why not right? :3 That's how I feel about roots xD
