^ the 8th pic down, I want her to live in my house so I can gaze at her hair and dream *sigh*
Coveting.
Also there was a swedish (or something) band playing in town yesterday and one girl had the more beaut dreads.
Damn her 😛
Ok so i need dreads in my life!!
Think ill be making myself some skinny sinth dreads to try out!!
I love the pink ones above the guy with a baby... if i were to ever get them installed I would want them to look chunky like that
Oh I didn't know we had a dread thread, how amazing! I've gone completely ahead of myself, I was planning on making myself a set of crocheted synthetic naturals to see if I like dreads on myself before taking the plunge and then this weekend, started dreading my hair... I'm the worst with impulse decisions!

basically exactly this.
Im completely with you Robyness ^^^ Ive been looking into it 😀
i shouldnt look at this thread..it makes me want some dreads now
I went through a faze of wearing synthetics, I made some too but I didn't really have to time to put into them. But here they are:
^^ The ones I made 🙂 They are small
^^ I got these custom made, I was in love with them are wore them all the time and I loved the fact of installing them, 3 months later remove them, wash my hair and put them back in again and I didn't wash my hair while they where in.
They now need resealing again and I haven't had the time and I'm loving experimenting with colours on my own hair 😀
But yes. I love them.
Does anyone know what perming lotion stuff to use for setting the dreads? Does Sally's do the stuff I'd need? 🙂
I'm guessing here, but isn't that surely a really extremely damaging way of doing dreads? On already damaged (in other words bleached) sounds like a bad idea. Am I wrong?
I thought it would be but I watched a youtube vid on a girl who was doing some and she said it was a lot easier and set them better then steaming them?
Yeah, but most people on you tube bleach their hair 4 times in a weekend... I put very little faith in what people say on you tube.
Just looked it up and did some reading. It looks like its recommended for caucasian hair and Asian hair to rough it up and make it easier to dread. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have bleached hair right? If so, it'd probably be damaged enough to make it easier anyway. Perming lotion is a nightmare as you can't see the damage it's doing like you can with bleach.
Hmm, think I'll stick to steaming then! Thank you! <3 I might have ruined my hair and never known D:
