^I had to bleach my turquoise out, and even after a full bleach it only turned a very light pastel blue, but since raspberry is a strong pink, it would probably cover that πŸ™‚

How often would you do one of these fading techniques?
I used h&s and washing up liquid yesterday which shifted enough colour for other people to comment on the colour change, but being as my hair was coloured with deep purple I've got a long way to go. Hoping to get some Lush Juicy when I go to town in the next week.

So, Everyday? Everyone other day?

It's entirely up to you and how quickly you want your hair to fade, everyday for long term could end up with some serious dried hair so it would still be good to give your hair a lil rest for it's natural oils to help moisturise.

I tend to do it once/twice a week if I need too but it also depends on how often you wash your hair too I guess.

I also only do it once a week if I'm trying to force fade, because it does dry out your hair quite a lot.

I usually only wash my hair once or twice a week, but was going to wash more often to fade. Think I'll stick to force fading once or twice a week when I'd usually wash.
Thanks.

^Same, so I usually do stuff every other day/every 3 days and use some conditioning stuff that also fades my colour afterwards.

I just want to say thank you for the tip about I love juicy!  *1*
I combined it whit vitamin C and it was the most effective indigo fading concoction I've tried so far.
I think it's the acidity that does the trick, indigo doesn't play well with acids and when I rinsed after the second back to back treatment loads of greenish tinged water sloshed out of my hair.YEY!

Hot oil treatment with virgin olive oil is also very effective and makes hair soft and shiny.

I hope more indigoed people find this thread and can get their hopes up for removing the horrible permanent indigo.

i followed some examples on here and elsewhere online and first i tried the vit c which i left for about 20-30 mins and kick started with a bit of heat from my hair dryer. This lifted my hair about two shades then today i have just done the laundry powder and shampoo one. It was totally awful, irritated my scalp (which is sensitive) so i couldn't wait for it to be over.

Used medicated shampoo to soothe my scalp and utterly tonnes of conditoner afterwards.
I can hardly believe the results. i have lightbrown with a reddish tint and little blonde highlights coming through. Far from where i want to be but it doesnt look like im fading my hair or anything unusual!!

My hair before all this was a giant buildup of natural blonde with extensive highlights. about 4 applications of directions in various reds on top, one round of majicontrast and two box dyes in dark dark brown.

Going to try the vit c treatment this afternoon, hair is currently directions neon blue in places mixed with brown/dark brown at the ends (not natural), we'll see how it goes and I'll post back when done!

I've used Original Source shower gel in the past. I used the lime one and it stripped colour really well πŸ™‚
