I used the boots multivitamin (which says 1 tablet has 100% RDA of vit C) instead of pure vit c because I really wanted to try fading with this method hehe It didn't really do much... :/
I've not tried the vitamin c wash to compare but judging by other people's results it's not as effective. It could be that this adore dye is stubborn though because other methods are not great on it! I shall invest in some vitamin c πŸ˜€

Vitamin c didn't do a huge amount on my hair when I was fading Plum either, the water was purple when I rinsed but no more so than using a clarifying shampoo. You have to use fading techniques a few times normally, but be careful - they do dry your hair out a bit. Washing up liquid / Bicard etc seems to work the best for me - or a proper colour remover.

Ah good to know, cheers. I've seen good results from others though. I'm not in a rush with fading because it's not gone a disgusting colour yet. I'm just trying out different things till the jobaz arrives I am optimistic that will take out lots of colour. πŸ˜€
It's strange with Adore dyes, I get loads of colour run off every time I wash my hair even though I must have washed my hair about 10 times or more since dyeing but it doesn't look to fade much so they must have really strong/concentrated pigment. Gaah both good and bad things! haha

Does anyone know what ingrediant/s it is within clarifying shampoos, soaps etc that fade colours?

They just contain lots of sulphates as far as i'm aware. The same things you find in your washing up liquid.

When people mention the KPak reconstructor, which one is it exactly? I can see quite a few so I'm not sure which one I should get! Thanks πŸ™‚

It is the Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor.  It comes in a tube like the following pic.

This might sound odd, but the facial wash I use fades my hair!

It's Clean & Clear anti-shine stuff... anyway it smells alcoholic and stings my face so I don't use it :/

I tried this on my fringe purely because it smelled like it would work- which sounds really stupid but it honestly smells like hand sanitiser πŸ˜› Really selling this product!

I think it worked because it has a lot of SLS in it... nice!

Obviously I wouldn't recommend it if you have a lot of hair because there are so many more sensible methods- I just thought this was interesting and amusing!

I just love it when colours have a nasty & stubborn fade ::)

I doubt its worse than most if the methods here. Bicarbonate of soda really is pretty drastic, probably worse than using the cleanser.
