I've been wondering if it'll work on shorter hair. But I think the back would end up mostly straight with a weird kink at the bottom...
Or just a flick.
Maybe we need to bring back the 60s/DeeLite/Lady Miss Keir flick!
I am REALLY feeling my age today lol
My boything used to have that hair naturally, and he hated it. So instead of straightening it straight down, he flicked up the rest of his hair's layers all the way up to eyebrow level! He looked absolutely ridiculous. We joke about it lots, 'cause his hair used to bounce when he ran. π
I'm toying with having curls for my sister's wedding, but after my prom hair disaster I'm a bit hesitant to say the least!
practice lots before hazel. it's just a matter of finding a way that works for your hair =)

Aye aye, Captain! :3
I used to do this when my hair was shoulder length and blunt cut. It what gave me my curls in my dp tbh, it's like my natural curls but it just makes them smoother. She says in the video that it's just rag curls but using socks basically lol I did it on wet hair too.
What the hell is with everyone just jamming the ends in! She just folds the ends under, that would give massive fish hook ends on me.
And she says it's better on totally dry rather than blow dried after a shower as there's water in the hair still... then she uses water. Very confusing.
But, still easy and a good idea π (just people would tuck ends in properly) π

Yeah I thought that, its not difficult to just wrap all of it around lol. I might try this sometime =] thanks Kitty
Well, I tried the headband method out of curiosity knowing it probably wasn't going to work. Oh dear, worse than I thought and not for me! Too short to get a good curl, I literally got one spiral halfway down and then a straight end. At the back I do have a Miss Lady Keir flip up, but that's not so bad. But as it keeps the crown so straight and slapped to my head it's not very flattering with the small amount of curl. Just odd π
My now ex posted this monstrosity of my heatless curl attempt all over facebook, I had to stalk his page to find this. whaha. This was done with rag curls. I really wanted to block out my goofy face but it makes it more amusing I suppose!
Also I tried the method in the video and it came out horrible on me! My hair was barely touching my shoulder at the time and layered. It came out pretty similar to the photo if I remember. Straight on top the crazy ringlets poofed up at the ends.
I tried this with the headband and ... I got a combo of ringlets and barrel curls that lasted for maybe half an hour and quickly dropped out. Two hours later, straight as a pin again. It seems my hair just doesn't hold curl, heat or no heat. At least I found a cheap and easy way to test the no heat methods before investing in curlformers!
Janineb, I had the bendy curlers with that woman on!! The gave me an afro too (and got caught in my hair all the time!)

If so I totally have to do this! I love the 60's flick!
What about sleep in rollers?
Sleep in rollers are mostly really any good if you want the retro 50's, 60s look, not loose big curls.
Theyre good on long hair for boomf and curls at the end, I suppose it depends which size you use! The pink glitter ones theyve done are well jazzy!
Oooh ok, I'm thinking of something different. I've not seen those before and they're way bigger than the kind I know as sleep in rollers. I didn't know someone had actually branded something Sleep in Rollers!
