Combination Color Stripper

Woo hoo! Oh I am so glad you tried it and had such good results from it! It looks great! And thank you thank you thank you for posting pictures! I wish I had taken pictures when I did it, but I didn't expect it to really do much lol! So really, thank you for documenting it, I hope your pictures can help people see just how well it really can help. I was surprised at how much color it removed with my own hair, and I'm still surprised at how much it took out from yours lol! It looks nearly white in the front, except for the ends on your left!

If you used peroxide in it, I wouldn't do it for at least another week. I kinda treat this as a bleach bath in that aspect.

What I would do, is just focus on the "darker" areas, like it looks like the middle part of the pink side in the back is still a little darker compared to the rest, and the mint on the bottom of your left side. I would maybe try mixing a clarifying shampoo with some baking soda or crushed up vitamin c tablets. That may be enough to pull the rest of it out. If you haven't done the "after" treatment with the oil, you can try doing that after, which is what pulled out the rest of pigment in my hair that this color stripper treatment didn't remove. I think between those two things it should take it out. If it doesn't though, you could try a color remover, it may work, but it may not. If you do go for one, if you have access to them, I've heard Decolour Remover is great, and also Colour b4 for fashion colors helped puerkz out when she was removing faded pink from her hair, you can see her results here:

Another thing I've heard works well in this situation (though I haven't tried it myself), is mixing bleach powder with hot water, and putting that on the areas you want the pigment out of. I don't know the science of it at all, but I've read recently abour 3 different people's accounts on using it in a very faded color situation, and they all said it worked wonders. I'd save that for last though. I don't know how damaging that would be? Again, I'm not sure how it works when just mixing it with water, but I'd still maybe do a test strand with it first just to make sure it's not going to damage your hair too much. And i would wait at least a week from doing this stripper if you do go that route.

Just be sure to moisturize your hair really well from doing this treatment, or if you do any more fading treatments or a color remover. The "after" treatment is a good way to get your hair's moisture level and pH back to normal.

And it DID work and I am very please with the results. I think I can almost tone the pale-blond side and it would turn out a nice cold blond to maybe bleachbath into a white??

I did not use any peroxide in this because it's almost impossible to buy such stuff in Sweden, we only got box-bleach and dyes.
And I checked my hair and it all looks pretty even, I thoink it looks darker because it's the shadow from my sisters arm when she fotographed my hair lol.
But yes, I will probably try H&S+BS and maybe some vitamin C powder.
My hair always feels so greasy after I've had coconutoil in it, its really hard to get that out of my hair so that's why I didn't do the treatment but maybe I should try after all? I have chrismas break so it's not really like anyone will see me haha.
And we do not have any color removers in my town so I have to order it off the net, but I've only found Color B4 on ebay and they do not have color b4 "fashion" :/ I've used it before and it did a really good job removing my dark purple and making it blond!

I wish I could try that but we have no "loose" bleach powder here...

And I left my conditioner on for almost a day so now my hair is soft again!

Since you can't get bleach powder, you could try toning it to get your way to white. Your base already looks extremely light underneath the colors, I really would be afraid to actually bleach bath it without it causing breakage.

What I was thinking, was baybe over the blueish/greenish side, put a light, warmer lilac color over it, and on the pinky side, put a cooler toned lavender over it, and on the blonde, maybe mix the two and put that over it. So your hair will be a lilac/lavender color, and as time goes on, and you reapply it, it should tone out the colors and balance the two sides out I would think. And both fade to a silver, grey or white. I know @Wicked Pixie has a lot of experience with lilac/lavender shades, maybe she could weigh in on my idea? Or someone else may know? I'm not 100% sure it would work, but that's the best I can think of considering what you have available to you.

I gave this a go and it did go visibly lighter. I used Lush's I love juicy instead of head&shoulders and didn't use developer. Left it on for about an hour.

I'd probably could have done with the seperate fading methods, but I felt like trying this. 😛 I love juicy works better for me than head&shoulders usually. Though I washed the mixture out with head&shoulders as a little bonus. 😛

I wonder if I left it on for two hours or more, if it would strip more colour, or just dry out my hair?

Awesome 🙂 yeah, the brand or kind of shampoo you use is up to you, whatever works best for each person. Pretty much as long as it's a non color safe shampoo or if it has sulfates in it or whatever, anything like that will work. It took a nice amount out! You're getting closer to silver!

I think doing a seperate treatment, whether it's this one or a simpler one, would be better than leaving this one on longer. I would do an oil or conditioning treatment in between them though, or at least let your normal conditioner set in for a bit, just so your hair doesn't get too dried out

Yesss, tomorrow I'm buying some more conditioner, since I didn't have any left. Hair feels dry, but I'll do the conditioning treatment tomorrow. I also need to purchase some coconut oil, unfortunately I haven't found it readily available and have to order it online.

Thanks for the advice of rather doing seperate fadings and not leaving it on. I'll baby my hair inbetween the fading mixes.

I found that doing hot oil treatments in between actually seemed to help pull out more color? I'm not sure how but it did with me anyway, that's how I got the last bit of green spots out, along with the conditioning treatments. You're getting there, you're getting pretty close! I can't wait to see it silver 🙂

I was going for a pastel minty color so I diluted directions alpine green in some conditioner and I made the mixture too strong so it ended up a medium turquoise. It looked really cool but I was afraid it might leave some stain behind so I decided to fade it right away. First I shampooed with a dandruff shampoo and the suds were greenish but the color didn't fade much. So I mixed up some water, dandruff shampoo, baking soda and coconut oil, and left it on for an hour. It basically all came out. The roots, which are lighter, came out a really pale mint and the lengths are back to blonde.

I wonder whether this (minus the peroxide) would work to get the last cerise out of my hair. I'm almost completely strawberry blonde and some parts even almost platinum (I don't know why...) but some parts are a very faded cerise. It does seem like coconutoil and cerise hate eachothers guts as after every time I use it, it seems lighter. On the other hand, I wash it out with I love juicy and Inecto conditioner, it could be that.

It's kinda like champagne with a strawberry in it.  I want that strawberry OUT.

Have you tried any of the simpler methods yet?

Yes,  I love juicy for 30 minutes under a shower cap. I would never use H&S or any other anti-dandruff shampoo as my head won't appreciate it.
And hot oil treatments, as we speak my head is again covered in oil. Have to wash it within a few minutes.

I think I'll try Icebears combination first. Bit easier.

Ah yeah, a few! Not the shaving foam... That is interesting, perhaps tonight as I have to study anyway.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh kay, I'll never do that shaving foam thing again. Stupid cerise didn't budge, my hair felt nasty. Iew!
