I used this treatment last night following the recipe exactly. It worked amazing for stripping out a lot if the blue and purple semi permanent  dye that had built up on my previously pale blond bleached hair. I did have about a half inch of regrowth that does seem to have gone through a slight bit of lightening. The regrowth was previously a medium brown and now seems to be a bit gingery. I am going to do another round of the treatment next week I think.

@Marthakins..... do.you think I should wait another week before doing a second treatment? My hair seems ok after the first one. I did a protein treatment and slept overnight with pure argan oil on it. I have a pretty messy nasty  blonde/green mess on my hands. Or should I pop a diluted mix of a pink based purple over thus mess and do another treatment next week?

It's definitely a good idea to wait a week with these. I did two in one day once and my hair was not at all happy. (I have really short hair though so it doesn't matter if I mess it up a bit.) I wouldn't risk it since you have lovely long hair.

Thank you for the reply! I appreciate the advice πŸ™‚ I will probably post a picture of the mess I have on my head currently. It looks pretty greasy with all the oil on it right now

Did you use any heat CooksTheBooks? Kinda scared to use heat on it lol... better to use the heat near the end of processing or at the beginning? thanks

I did not use heat from a dryer or anything. I doubled the recipe because my hair is bra strap length and covered it really well. I wrapped it in cling film and put a tight beanie/ toboggan winter hat on and went about cleaning and things. Left it on about 35 min after covering and I was amazed at how much color came out. I will post pictures in a little while after I get the oil out of it and I can see the true color πŸ™‚

Ok, it is a little dry so it looks kinda bad. I don't use silicones  in any of my hair products so it may take a week to get some major moisture packed into my poor dry winter beaten strands. I live in Ohio  and it has been a super cold winter!

Used this method again....my roots turned out very gingery because this is the second time they have been subjected to this treatment πŸ™‚ I'm getting an olaplex treatment next week ao I am not sure if I should leave it and dye later or try to do it before.  I think I got rid of the green . I still have some lilac and steel gray going on. All in all I think I can live with it for now. Sorry about the posey picture πŸ™‚

There is no internet in my house today for some reason so no Netflix means I'm dying my hair :p I just got from bright pink to almost blonde with this, very impressed.

I actually cannot believe how well this process worked. I had faded Alpine Green and Turquoise which after vit C treatments wouldn't budge. I just tried this process but didn't have much oil so I used a small amount of Olive Oil.

Here are my results. My phone camera is rubbish and isn't picking up the green tinge in the final result BUT you can see how much it lightened. My hair is so dry though but after a few treatments should be back to normal. It's definitely less damaging than a bleach bath.

- 3-4 oz various sulfate based shampoos
- 1 scoop of bleach powder
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
-1 teaspoon coconut oil

Going to try this today ... I don't have olive oil, can I use jojoba oil instead?
