Quick question.. How long do you think you should wait before trying another round of this? I was thinking to wait about a week as you would do for a bleach bath.
I normally go with a week the same as a bleach bath π
Ok, so this is after a bleach bath too...what do you reckon, light enough to cover with a Candy Apple/Nuclear red mix??
A xXx
I think that will definitely be light enough for red. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Ahh I really want to try this! I've been crazily trying to get rid of directions plum the day after I dyed it and it's just not budging! (And weirdly, going royal blue? But still with purple streaks. It was put over faded cerise. I've used a colour remover twice and numerous vit c washes!)
A question about this, I really want to try it tonight. However, I don't have just bleach powder laying around in my hair dye stash at the moment, π I have live colour xxl in my stash in platinum (00A), would i be able to use this mixed with everything else? :S
(Apologies if this post makes me seem reaaaaaaaaally silly!)
You could use the little sachets of bleach powder included in the kit, (might be enough if you have short hair?)but the cream won't do anything without adding the peroxide.
My before and after. Love this fading method!
Wow @Catlady, that's a great result! π
I know, I was very impressed!
This method really is amazing!
I had SFX Blue Velvet in my hair, which proved to be VERY stubborn and sticky as it barely faded at all over several months and didn't even budge after several attempts of fading it with different methods.
This was what I had (excuse the silly face :P):
After one shampoo + bleach powder treatment (and a hair cut, obviously ;D), this was the result:
It really didn't do that much (the difference is more apparent in the picture than it was in person), but since it definitely did do more than anything else I had tried, I decided to do it again about two weeks after and this is what I ended up with:
(again, it does look different in real life. A bit less colourful, more of a greenish grey overall with lilac bits here and there)
I was really surprised! I certainly did not expect it to do that much the second time, I thought I was going to have to do it a few more times to get this kind of result. And not only did it take a lot of the colour out, it also left me with a very interesting colour I actually really like! My original plan was to go a pastel blue or lavender (which I'm not sure would work with my base, but since I have a lot of time and dark dye on my hands in case things go wrong and everything is pretty quick and easy with short hair, I thought I'd give it a shot.), but I actually like what's going on on my head so much I decided to keep it that way for a while *loveeyes*
SO for everybody trying this:
Don't be discouraged if it doesn't do much the first time, the second treatment might just turn out amazing, this stuff really does work wonders! *1*
I just tried it and I don't know if my bleach powder sucks, it always used to lift, but it didn't lift anything, and what's even worse, re-oxidised the veggie dye π I thought only peroxide can do it! Such an unexpected failure, I'll bleach bath now I think...
I didn't apply any heat though, I'm scared of bleach+ heat results
If anyone got any tips, most welcome!

The first time I done this method, I didn't use heat & it removed all my pink but my purple which I faded to blue went blonde & green. Second time I done it with heat & it removed everything. I think wait another week & try this again with a little heat. It's worth a try as it's less damaging then a bb.
I dunno, maybe it's because I conditioned my hair before using this method? I'll wash my hair with clarifying shampoo and then do head and shoulders, B4 again, bleach powder again, and then we'll see how it goes... Thanks for the tip:D
Quick question; would this work on veggie dye applied over virgin hair, or would it lighten/otherwise alter the natural colour?

Bleach powder can lighten the hair a little. On my hair it's almost not noticeable on my roots (the only natural part of my hair when I've done this treatment) but they do come up slightly warmer.
