Ive written this out three times now, it keeps vanishing cos the pictures are too large =[

I'll try again:

So, here it is guys!

I got micro bead hair extensions installed yesterday!  *1* I love them so much!

A lovely lady in Bath was running a Christmas special offer, a full head of extra thick 20" Remy human hair extensions for Β£135. She normall charges Β£250+ so it was a brilliant deal.

I had her install platinum ones so I could dye them myself when I got home. The pic is the blonde extensions in my blue hair. (The light is making them look more yellow)

The installation wasnt painful at all! I was expecting it to hurt a little but it really didnt! It took about 2 hours and she put in 160-180 strands of hair.

When I got home I washed it ready for dying, it is so heavy when wet! and my turbie towel doesnt fit anymore as theres too much hair and my hair is too long for it =[

It too SO long to apply the dye, about 2 and a half hours! And seven pots of directions! I made a massive mess asI'm not used to long hair and cos I cant part it horizontally as the beads are quite close to my root, it doesnt allow much movement (this will get better as my hair grows a bit!)

I left the dye on overnight. It was quite difficult to get comfy, not only did I have cling film wrapped round my head, but it also felt like lying on a thousand tiny ponytails (which it essentially is!)

I got to sleep eventually and couldnt feel it anymore once I woke up.

Jumped in the shower to wash the dye off in the morning. It does take quite a long time to rinse out everything as there's so much hair! I managed to miss a bit as Ive got some crispy crunchy strands where I obviously didn't rinse out the dye properly!

It also takes ages to dry! I usually only blow dry my fringe, then leave the rest to air dry, but as it was still sopping wet an hour after the shower, I blasted some heat into the roots, I guess, as it is loads of little ponytails, it retains the water more.

I put it in plaits when it was still damp, then took them out about three hours later and have awesome mermaid hair  πŸ˜€

I was worried that the dye wouldn't take well or something, but its worked out amazingly! everyone Ive seen cant tell that its not my own hair!

Ahhh 'm so happy with them!!!   *1* *1* *1* *1* *1* *1*

I love it, looks really natural! So how often do they need re-doing? Is it after a few months or so? And do you have to pay for them to be entirely re-done?(trying to work out if I should get some!)

I *think* its 6-8 weeks for a 'push-up' as your hair grows, the beads obviously travel with it so end up an inch or so from your head, so they each get unclamped, pushed up and clamped again. That costs about Β£40 and you keep the same hair. She says the actual hair can last up to a year if you really look after it (which im planning to!) then I guess you just pay the full price for a whole new set!

Gorgeous! I love it! It's amazing! do you have lots of styles in mind to try now your hair is long? I always tell myself i'll learn how to plait my hair when it's long enough and its currently down to my bra strap but I still say its not long enough lol

Yes! I really wanna learn how to plait! I can do the normal one and fishtail, but nothing else. I cant wait to curl it and see what happens!

And its Alpine Green by Directions!
