I have a question regarding hair dye. My mum dies her hair at home and today she tried a new colour. The colour didn't turn out the way she expected and wants to dye it with the previous colour. Is there a specific time she has to wait before applying the new colour?

Regarding permanent dye (I'm assuming it's that) I think the period of time you should wait is a month.
But I have to say, if I didn't like the result i'd change it way before ahah.

If she's used permanent dye then you want to use a colour remover to get rid of the wrong dye that she applied. This should leave her with a colour similar to her base colour, probably warmer.
After that she will be able to apply the correct colour, but as z0mbiemurder said, it's best to wait a month between permanent dyes to lessen the damage caused to the hair and assess the condition of it.
