Will blue fade with pink over??

Hi everyone.
I've already searched on here for an answer but can't find what I need.
So.... my hair was a bright Cadburys purple colour which I'm currently fading but it turns out it's got more blue tones rather than pink so it's fading to an aqua colour.
I'm wanting to be pink so I've been putting direction carnation over it and getting a pinky purple but I'm wanting it to be completely pink.
Question is will the blue/ purple tones fade out gradually on their own if I keep putting pink on the top or will it always be purple?
Or is there anyway I can get it pink with minimal damage??
Thank you so much
Xxx

It should fade eventually. It does depend a little on what the purple was. Directions Plum (in a recent batch) has become notorious for the pink fading out almost straight away and then ending up royal blue that just won't fade. It used to fade a very pretty pink.

As you've said it's fading turquoise, I'm assuming it's not Plum.

You could try a colour remover. It could remove enough of the blue that it doesn't stop the pink being pink. There's several brands in the UK, but avoid anything that's called "stripper" as they're a lot more damaging.

Ah thank you. It's crazy colour violetta. I'm wanting to go pink eventually but not sure if the blue tones will fade on it's own if I'm constantly putting pink over the top.
I've tried a colour remover, it took a fair amount out and it's a turquoise colour

If you're happy with the purple tone to the pink, it will fade over time. The more you add pink the stronger the pink tones will get, so both helps.

You can do the colour remover at least three times, but I have found that it doesn't do too much on fashion colours after the first round. That's not to say it won't though if you want to give it another go! It's literally different with everyone πŸ™‚
