I want to top up my black hair to make it more vibrant and I was wondering whether to use Garnier Nutrisse in the shade Liquorice Black or L'Oreal Feria in Blackest Black? Which one would be more vibrant/black and last longer?
Thanks π
Among Garnier and L'Oreal my friend has gound L'Oreal hair colours more lasting, but of cource depends on the product itself. L'Oreal has different brand blacks. I think you could do some research on that and find the best dye for you.
P.S. You should also take into consideration, that apart from dyes sold in drugstore, L'Oreal has other professional lines too.
Good luck.
Alright, I see. Well I did some research but still have no idea which one to get, haha π I mean there is no reviews for the Garnier one but I did read on some forum that this particular shade is pretty intense. I used Feria before and did not like the colour much. I have no luck with black dyes, it's like the only colour I use as it just suits my dark style and it's not that damaging as other colours but yeah, I can never find the perfect shade of black, like a really deep one like I see on some goth girls, haha XD
Skip the box dyes entirely. They are inconsistent at best and often contain harmful ingredients. Get a professional dye and separate peroxide (developer) from a salon supply store or online. If your colour is fading fast, top up with a black direct dye.
BTW black dyes are just as damaging as other colours of permanent dye, they still lift your natural colour
Yea, pixie is right. You need professional dyes. My aunt uses L'Oreal Inoa and my mom uses L'Oreal Majirel. Between them I find Inoa less harmful and better in terms of dying. When I bleached my hair second time, before I dyed hair with pravana silver, I toned down my hair with one of the platinum blonde colours from Inoa (with 20 volume developer).
I think you should really consider these professional dyes (In case you want L'Oreal). I have never used any other permanent dyes except Majirel and Inoa (my first ombre was majirel red colour), so I don't think I can speak about other brands. You need to do another research on this 😂
