Which dye will work on my hair?

I was originally planning to go purple but I cant wait for my hair to go lighter, it would take months because my hair can't afford another bleaching. I cant stand this shade any longer so I want to dye ASAP. What colour would work on my current shade? Aside from red please, because it doesnt suit me. Planning to use adore or punky colour dyes. Hope you could help me!

Attached below is my current hair state. It's less orangey in person.

Hair history, if it even matters: bleaching job using 30 vol — result was patchy. 3 weeks later, bleach bath. Shade didnt go lighter and still patchy so I  figured my friend didnt apply it correctly. A week later, another bleaching job. A different friend applied it this time and it worked. Turns out we were bleaching the wrong way lol

You'd be able to get a deep purple.

Punky Color Plum would work out great. I'm sure there's some Adore purples that would work too but I'm not super familiar with them.

I hated punky colour plum, it wasn't vibrant at all on me and washed out so fast. I'd go for Adore purple rage - the only issue I ever had with adore is that it doesn't stick to virgin hair (so unbleached regrowth can be a lot more obvious) but it's a lovely colour.

Yayyy thank you guys! Another question, will that shade you mentioned fade into a pastel purple?

Oops, more questions. Sorry I'm new at this. So is it fine if I dilute the dye wih conditioner? Will the color still work on my current hair? Also, how long do you recommend to leave the dye in?

Thanks a bunch everyone!  *thx*

You won't get a pastel on your current base. It'll fade paler, but you'll never get to a pastel shade I'm afraid. It'll need to be a really pale base for that.

I don't think you'll want to dilute it either. It'll need to be fairly pigmented to cover the base you have now properly.

Leave it in as long as you can stand. Most of us do anything from 4 hours to overnight.

You can dilute the Adore dyes - I usually do by about 50% as they're quite watery otherwise, it doesn't seem to affect the colour. I've used Purple Rage over a light brown base and still got a bright result - yours will be fine dilute half and half.

Really? That's so weird. Granted I've only used it once and on a small patch, but it really didn't seem that strong to me. Oh well!

Most adore shades I've used are surprisingly strong. The only one that wasn't was sunrise Orange. Wasn't very impressed by that.

You will only be able to get deep rich berry tones with purple over such a dark base. if you want a clear vibrant purple you will need to go lighter first. Pastel shades need a white blonde base. The orange tones in your current base will make any colour turn out darker and more earthy. I agree that a pink based purple like Punky purple or adores Violet Gem or Purple Rage will give the best results, with the prettiest fade.

Yeah - I've tried all three of the purples, pink rose and the turquoise, they're all really strong. The purple in my profile pic is violet gem and purple rage diluted by half with conditioner (that was over a yellow base though)

That's so weird! I've not had a lot of luck with it at all! I've always ended up re-dying with something else?

Just a little update.. Today I dyed my hair with Adore Purple Rage and it turned black. Haha. I don't know why. Maybe because my base was not light enough for this purple? My natural hair color is black btw.

Now I don't know what to do.. Should I shampoo everyday to fade this color? Lol. I don't even know if this black is going to fade idk  :'(
