Where do you get your coconut oil?

I've nearly run out of coconut oil but it was a 1-litre jar and I can't remember where I bought it  *whistle*

My local Asda does little jars but no big ones.  I haven't checked Tesco recently.  H&B is a ballache to get to, and the other health food shop we had locally has shut down or moved.
So I'm probably looking at Amazon!

Where do you get yours?

Asian stores when I can. It's always the cheapest.

Failing that, I look for the cheapest I can find in any supermarket. I once got some in Costco, actually, I think that was the last one which I'm still working through. It's a bit cheaper that way, but hands down cheapest is in asian food stores. Just have to make sure it's not "cooking" oil and it's pure. It doesn't need to be organic, that's mostly just marketing.

When in Tesco and the like, make sure you don't just look in the oils isle. Go down the world food isle too, they nearly always have it cheaper there.

I always avoid getting it in H&B or health stores as it's really overpriced there.

I get mine from Savers. It's not a big pot, but it's only 99p, and it lasts for ages for me.

Be careful with some. Really read what they say as they're not all pure coconut oil. If they're not solid when the temperature is lower than 21c then they're not pure. Things like that.

Asda do a liquid "flavour free" coconut oil ... the ingredients bit just says coconut oil but it must have been processed/refined somehow.  It's actually more expensive than the raw extra virgin solid stuff!

I get a large tub of it from Amazon and its lasted me a long time, its the Carrington Farms Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 54 ounces for 16.99. I use it for both cooking and hair care and this 1 tub has lasted me almost a year.

i get mine from amazon and have it under the subscription to get it discounted. I also use it a lot for cooking though so I go through a pot very quickly
