What is the BEST hair mask for me?

hi everyone,
I used to dye my hair alot as a kid, then I had a professional bleach it to a barbie blonde (my hair was originally dark brown so it was a tough process)
i kept my hair blonde for a year, then my hair started falling out in chunks because my stylist was an idiot and left it on for too long.

long story, about a few months later I just dyed it black because I couldn't handle the breakage and hair loss.
right now I am dealing with
- lots of breakage
- hair loss
- thin ness

can anyone please recommend me a mask, or something absolutely amazing to help my hair to get back in good condition for it to be thick and healthy again? do I need a mask with protein and lots of nutrients?
any recommendations would be great, thank you

Edit: my doc said keratin was good too? is this true?

Keratin will help but unfortunately, damage is not something you can fix with masks or treatments. The only way to remove damage is to cut it off.

By your other thread (where you asked the same question and got an answer...), this isn't all caused by dyes and breakage.

There is no hair mask that is going to help with your medical issues and there is no mask that will, as Puerkz says, will do miracles to damaged hair. There are some products that cost a lot of money that claim big things. Most, if not all,  are bunk. You just need to sleep well, eat well, exercise (like you have to with the rest of your body of course) and lay off dying anything but your roots.  πŸ™‚

Coconut oil is great for the hair and scalp, and you can eat it to get all the nutritional benefits too. It can help dry frizzy hair to feel silky and shiny, but as the others have said damage is permanent and irreversible unfortunately.
