What colours might go with....

Hello,

So I am not particularly colour coordinated so thought I would ask for general opinions here.

I am dying the top layers of my hair a kind of nice maroon red, hopefully kind of like the attached picture and I want a colour (or two) to go on the underneath layers. I was thinking maybe a deep pink and purple but not sure what would go nicely with the red. I have used crazy colour cyclamen recently and I adore the colour when it first comes out but it just does not take to my hair well and fades out so fast. I also tend to stay away from Directions because when I use it it just stains everything even after plenty of washes.

So what do you think might go with this colour? Doesn't have to be pink/purple, I am open to all suggestions 🙂
