My lovely purple hair (which used to fade to a bright pink when using Special Effects) has faded to a strange blue/turquoise colour after using both Directions plum and Stargazer. It turned blue within 2 days of colouring and I had loads of colour transfer. The only thing I can think is that it could be hormonal as I am breastfeeding. Has anyone else experienced this?
Really need to get some Special Effects to see if it helps.

Directions Plum has changed its formula and is very blue now, rather than the pink-based purple it used to be. It stains dreadfully too. 🙁
I think SFX Deep Purple will work for you but not 100% on that!

Special Effects Pimpin Purple is still purple with a pink fade...but it seems to be really hard to get hold of still 🙁
I'm planning to try Pravana Violet next as I can't be bothered with the rub / run off from Directions and I'm struggling to get hold of SFX.

I am a huge fan of SFX Deep Purple as a replacement for Directions Plum. It has a lovely fade, (just gets pinker) and doesn't go green when bleached. Definitely worth the investment IMO.
