want silver hair

hi, so, I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before, but I need some advice with getting my hair to silver.
I am very very very experimental and half the time have no ideas what I am doing.
recently I tried to dye my hair half permanent black and half semi-permanent blue because I wanted blue hair with black highlights and I know blue fades (I've been all blue before) so I wanted to use the permanent to keep the black where I wanted it while redoing the blue over and over. and as I was washing the black out, it ran through all of my hair turning most of it black because I didn't and never have used a highlight cap because I always think I know better than the instructions lol
and then I decided I wanted silver hair, so I've bought all the stuff recommended by the internet (bleach, white toner, silver shampoo and conditioner) and I'm waiting for some Olaplex to arrive, I've never used it before but apparently it has a 100% success rate at helping repair hair and make it look so much better and I know all that bleaching is going to damage my already waaaay too damaged hair so I'm testing my self-control and waiting until it arrives before I do anything to my head.
but because I got tired of waiting, I did a strand test to see how awesome my hair will turn out, I've never done a strand test before, never really cared/ been too impatient. and after one round of bleaching as per the instructions which took it to an almost clear blonde, one round of white toner and then a wash with the silver shampoo and conditioner, it actually appears to have got darker than the bleach took it and now it's a golden blonde and yes its a very nice colour but blonde is not me and not what I want, what did I do wrong - if anything? and could it have something to do with how my hair has been previously dyed? how do i make it silver?
any advice or suggestions or anything will be most welcome πŸ™‚

Use a colour remover before going anywhere near bleach. It'll save you a LOT of damage.

Also, skip the toner if it's one you use with peroxide. Just leave the silver shampoo on for longer instead. Toners are very high in ammonia and so VERY damaging.

okie, i used a colour remover and parts of my hair are white, ginger, turquoise, green, grey and black.
i followed the instructions perfectly because ive never used a hair colour remover before and i didnt want to risk mucking it up, but it looks like it did that itself. how do i fix it?

Sorry, I missed your last reply saying you're in England!

That doesn't mean you've messed up, it just probably have areas of different colours due to using different things on different parts of your hair. You can do the colour remover a couple more times to get rid of as much of the dye left behind.

Then can you post a photo? It'll be easier to advise if we can see what you're dealing with πŸ™‚ It's likely you'll need to bleach strategic areas. If you'd shoved bleach all over it before removing the colour, you'd have a bigger mess, I promise. You were probably lucky to find a spot that bleached well before.
