I have currently been trying to dye my hair a medium to dark copper auburn (think christina hendricks/Karen gillan) I have been dying my hair drown for about 2 years now. My lightest colour being blonde full highlights on dark blonde hair. I also used lush henna a few years ago. I dyed my hair last month with loreal feria mango which did nothing to my dark ends but made my roots crazy bright, I evened it all out with brown again but I am suffering serious colour build up at my ends (my hair is very long)
I want to use colour b4 which I have before, I noticed from the box they have fixed the oxidisation process so you can dye straight afterwards although preferably with semi perm. I have found casting creme gloss amber which is very much the red I want. From experience it is a bit on the brown side so I would then want to use lush caca rouge to add more copper. Its a bit of a push but I have a wedding to go to next weekend so kinda want my hair fixed by then.
Any ideas on if I can do this?

I don't believe they've fixed the oxidisation issue to be honest. They might have made it better, but I highly doubt they've illuminated it entirely. I'd be happy to be wrong though! You could wash and rinse your hair several times though, which would help. Then a couple of days later do the dye. You really do need to leave the couple of days at the very least to help prevent chemical burns on your scalp and extra damage to your hair. Rinsing for a LONG time is the key to stopping re-oxidising.

Umm, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think henna should be fine to use straight after.
Henna is basically the same as a semi perm dye in that it is not an oxidative dye. So it won't cause reoxidation or scalp burns.

That's what I read at first, but reread the second paragraph 🙂 she's going to dye using a box dye, then top up the red with henna after.
This has made me think further though. Rather than use henna, why not an adore direct dye to top up? They last a pretty long time when they're just topping up colour.

Although I second the suggestion to use a semi permanent dye to brighten the orange. That's exactly what I used to do when I wanted bright ginger hair and it worked really well.

Thanks guys, yeah sorryy wording is a bit deceptive. Not sure which is best now actually colour b4 then henna and no dye or just colour b4 and dye. Too many good suggestions. I am trying not to fry my hair to death.
Gonna get on this soon, just looked on the mirror and blonde roots on brunette is the worst!
