Quick history; I had used Colour B4 back in April or something on a semi brown from January. This went a beautiful bright blonde that I dyed pink with Crazy Colours diluted w/ conditioner about 4 times from the end of July onward, then a "Wella Colour Touch Relights Red in /47"- a semi that's mixed w/ peroxide- was put on it in work in August (I'm a trainee hairdresser since July). When this faded I put in a gorgeous ombre from dark red to red to orange that, once faded, I tried to put a very faint Crazy Colours Purple over. This came out awful patchy so the next day I used an extra strength Colour B4 on it, which shifted it all out and left me with a generally nice, bright enough blonde that had purple tinted roots and green tinged ends.
This is where the hassle started. The next day in work, I asked our stand-in instructor how would I shift these tints? Classmates applied a blonde toner to my hair, but this didn't change it much, so (against my better judgement and sort of without my permission) the instructor bleach bathed my hair... it went bright green. Like, Poison Ivy but not in a nice way green. She didn't ask (and I didn't know to tell her- I have 2 months experience whilst she has 17 years...) when was it dyed last, so apparently the purple from 2 nights previous had caused a chemical reaction. *ott* Panicking, she put a darker ash blonde semi on my hair, which took out most of the green and I'm left with light purple tinted roots, a dull, dark blonde mid-length and dark green ends. This all happened almost 3 weeks ago and since then all I've done is tone down the green with a tiny bit of red on it. But I hate it, you can easily see the difference in the ends and they look dark and horrible (to me at least) and the blonde is dull and lifeless. I can't stand it any more  And I swear I could have done a much better job of fixing the green and purple tint's in it myself! *gun*
Perhaps someone has experienced something like this, so my question is, what can I do?? I'd like to get it to a nice, bright blonde so that I can leave it alone to it's own devices for a few months. If I use Colour B4 again, what would happen? Or put a L'Oreal Feria box dye in orange on it perhaps? I have been toying with the idea of orange hair for months... Or put a dark blue on it? Or even just put a brown semi in it that I can use Colour B4 on in a few weeks that will hopefully make it go back to the bright blonde? But that means still having to tolerate a colour I don't like... *stars* Anyway, I can't bear this colour any longer- I'm used to pink's and red's and blue's! π
Help! π
EDIT: added photo (ends are darker in real life)
Whatever you do don't use anything with peroxide in it, your hair has been through a lot. A color remover like Color B4 should be your first step. See what base you're left with, you may be able to put an orange semi/ direct dye (no peroxide) right over it.

Thank you for replying! π Do you think the Colour B4 would make the green worse? That's what I'm afraid of... And would you suggest the normal or extra strength?
Colour B4 won't make the green any worse, the worst it could do is not shift it but it could also help remove most of it. It's always worth trying it, if it doesn't work you've not lost anything.
I always use the Max strength one, it won't damage your hair but make sure to use a good moisturising conditioner afterwards as it can be drying.
The only thing you can lose is the cost of it π π (Why is it so pricey!?) I'll give it a go tomorrow! Thanks so much, it's great to get experienced opinions on it. Hope it goes well! I'll pop a good conditioner on it afterwards and post a photo.
Many thanks! π
If you have a B&M bargains near you, they do a version called Jo Baz which is much cheaper than Colour B4 and in my experience works better π
No, we have Boots, Superdrugs etc. I'm in Ireland π But other poundshops here might have it! I'll note the name.
There is also Pro:Vokes colour remover, I can sometimes get it for Β£1.99 and it is better than JoBaz IME.
Unfortunately I don't think I've ever seen a colour remover in a poundshop over here! π
It say's on the Colour B4 website to use a claryfying shampoo on it twice before using- is this really necessary? Or is dry, 2 day old hair better?
No, it won't work It has to be freshly washed with no conditioner. It's not like bleach, it can't cut through grease and dirt. It needs everything removed and the cuticle lifted. Only using a clarifying shampoo will do this. And it has to be fresh. I can't emphasise that enough.
I think last time I used it on dry hair and it worked pretty ok but I'll take your advice from now on!! *thx* I'll get some when I'm getting the Colour B4 π Do I need to dry my hair then or leave it wet?
Yes, it has to be dry. But freshly washed and then dried π It's all in the instructions. (ETA... well, I'm 99% sure it's all in the instructions! I haven't used colourB4 for a long time as I much, much prefer Decolour Remover. It's all the same principle though.)
Well I popped it on and it seems to be turning blonde or something already!? Could the extra strength be too strong? I just hope there's no green tint this time :/ I got herbal essences clarifying shampoo- that was β¬2.74 and the only other one they had was Mane n' Tail for nearly β¬9 xD
Update: Before I rinsed it out and before the buffering stage the ends were blonde, now they have a green tint again?! They're just as bad as before *headdesk* The top is a bootiful blonde, my natural dirty blonde roots are showing and the purple is gone.
Any idea's how to shift the green? I tried ketchup just after the instructor messed it up and it did nothing. ???
Thank you so very much for the help and advice, I think you all know how it feel's when your hair upset's and makes you unhappy like this, so I really appreciate it! *hugs* *thx*
(Photo is current colour)
id use another color b4 to be honest, on the green parts, and really rinse for AGES at the buffering stage.
I rinsed for the full 15 minutes today and to be honest, at β¬16~ here I cant justify using Colour B4 a 3rd time :/ it's too expensive!
