evening all,

I'm trying desperately to grow out my old asymmetric pixie cut, so far so good and I am persevering for now as I haven't had long hair for years and I have major hair envy!  Other than the normal growing out woes and sticky out bits I am starting to get a bit bored as I can only wear my hair a couple of ways at the minute and it's dangerously close to driving me nuts!!

I can't really wear it all down and it's JUST not long enough to tie it all back and do anything interesting with as it is at that really annoying stage,  I tend to just keep clipping my fringe back (with our without quiff) then the rest is either tied into a mini ponytail with a million grips for all the bits that don't quite stretch that far or just or left loose but that tends to irritate me quite quickly coz the back bit doesn't lie flat yet and one side is still longer than the other!! πŸ™  My only other alternative styles are either the same but with a hairband or the fringe rolled or clipped to the side with the rest straightened down but I'm trying to avoid too much heat styling at the moment so only do that occasionally!!

Any ideas on what else I can do with it to get me past this bit?

I do have a wig but I'm not very good with it and it always just looks a bit rubbish!!  :'(

Thanks
A xXx

You could try fake dreads maybe?

Thanks - tried some of the styles from the you-tube vids!  Have found that keeping it pretty simple works best for me but some fab styles there!

Now just need to work out style I'm actually aiming for once I grow it!

A xXx

Schwarzkopf makes a product called: Dust It. Its a dry clay powder thats finer than flour. Randomly section top of hair & sprinkle it @ the roots, mess it up or mess it up & pull smooth fringe pieces or something play with messing it up all over & finger smoothing/defining different areas. This powder gives awesome matt look & dry firm hold & eliminates oily roots. Dont cut it just style it differently sometimes you just need to find the right product & play with it for different looks no major styling or heat styling! Google it its awesome!
