I have been using this look for at least 4 years. I used argan one and only 8.43 with 40vols on my roots (I've really dark brown hair), i have some baby lights and for the rest of the hair the same dye but with 10 vols.

I'm about to start an intership in a hotel so I'm a little bit afraid that maybe they will think its an unnatural color and they will make me remove it! πŸ™ what do you think?

I doubt they'll be bothered by it. They usually don't like very bright colours obviously like blue and green, but also like really bright, neon red or purple. Your's is natural enough looking I'd say, most of my family have hair that colour and it's natural! You'll only know for sure when you get there though πŸ™‚

I am a little concerned at 40vol being used on your roots though. 40 vol should never be used near the scalp. I hope I've misunderstood!

thanks for your answer! i hope they don't mind because they said "natural" hair and i really don't like my natural hair, i don't feel like myself!
and yes, i use 40vols because 30vols doesn't do anything to my hair. my hair is almost black, so 40 vols does the trick. I've been using it for 4 years and it works for me, but thanks for the concern

Be extremely careful, it only takes one time to get severe chemical burns and you can lose a chunk of hair permanently from damage to the scalp. It sounds alarmist, but I've seen it happen too many times. It's really harmful stuff and just because you've done it so long and not had a problem doesn't mean you will always get away with it.

I have very, very dark brown hair too and I can get it to lightish yellow with 30vol, and you wouldn't even need to go that light, you just have to make sure you're working in a warm environment. I would also suggest bleaching, with a good bleach powder and then toning with a direct dye rather than using 40vol with a tint. It'll be safer in the long run.

If you're in any doubt about your employer's hair policy - just ask them, or take a close look through the employee handbook/guidelines which you should be issued  (or ask someone who's worked there awhile).

Usually when employers talk about natural shades they mean "shades that may occur naturally", not necessarily your own natural hair colour.

I also would advise caution with 40vol, it's not really meant for root/scalp application.

I don't think they will have any problem with your hair. This color is acceptable in the hotel industry or if they ask you to change it then you can change it later.
